That was because he was forced to draw according to the DW housestyle.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

DW made him draw pictures with super-lame action?

spike didnt get inlvolved in every episode thankfully. but dont forget in season 2, tracks spent a couple of eps with those random urban breakdancers. they were cool. I actually had no problem with them on the show bc of the fact they were breakdancing.

I am just saying that his art work was different from his G1 work due to the DW housestyle he was forced to confirm to.

I liked his work in the G1 comics and I also liked his work in the DW comics despite it being different.

Then again with those super-lame shows getting comics with such storylines, I did not really care about small misproportions in the art.  :tftongue

The last time I had a great Transformers story was when I picked up a comic. I just hope IDW can fill the gap. It will be great to have Transformers comics again.  :thumb

I hope they sell well but I am sure they will.

the only time i liked humans on transformers cartoons was in GeeWun.  They would have to be adults and no kiddos under 13 please.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

I might point out that there *are* kids on other cartoons who aren't annoying as hell. But this is anime we're talking about; of course it's going to feature annoying kids.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Koji in RiD was an excellent human sidekick.  He never fought, had a (good) reason for getting and staying involved, and wasn't in every episode.

NO MORE KIDS NO MORE KIDS NO MORE KIDS NO MORE KIDS NO MORE KIDS NO MORE KIDS NO MORE KIDS NO MORE KIDS NO MORE KIDS NO MORE KIDS NO MORE KIDS NO MORE KIDS NO MORE KIDS NO MORE KIDS NO MORE KIDS NO MORE KIDS NO MORE KIDS NO MORE KIDS NO MORE KIDS NO MORE KIDS NO MORE KIDS NO MORE KIDS NO MORE KIDS NO MORE KIDS NO MORE KIDS NO MORE KIDS  NO MORE KIDS NO MORE KIDS NO MORE KIDS NO MORE KIDS NO MORE KIDS NO MORE KIDS  NO MORE KIDS NO MORE KIDS NO MORE KIDS NO MORE KIDS NO MORE KIDS NO MORE KIDS NO MORE KIDS NO MORE KIDS

Koji also showed Optimus Prime respect and appreciation. Kicker could learn a lot from him. Plus Koji had a cooler Transformer friend: Side Burn.  :tflaugh

Do not worry, I will buy the Cyberton DVD and will give the show a fair try. I am always open-minded or at least I try to be. Quite frankly I thought the Fantastic Four movie would suck but I went to see it anyways as duty commanded it.  :tflaugh

Loved every minute of it. The World's Greatest Super-Hero movie in my book.  :thumb  And from what I heard/saw about Cybertron I am going to like it. Aside from the mix of different animation styles. And for one who was fond of the shiny look of Beast Wars, the new CCG will take a little getting used to.

Transformers also has its good, mediocre and crap so that goes for just about anything.

Tell me, do the better anime shows also have the main characters pursue (for lack of a better term) power above all?

In the last 3 Transformers shows, Power Rangers and Yu-Gi-Oh it always seemed that when everything looked "hopeless" the hero could bust out a new power attack or combined mode. Quite frankly in Transformers it annoyed me to no end though for Power Rangers I do not mind.

Then again one has to be really tolerant to watch that.  :tflaugh

Since I never saw anything like Cowboy Bebop I could not possibly judge it. But I am curious to know if just the "cheaper" anime has a power focus.

That aside I cannot really judge anime aside from the recent Transformers shows. All I can judge regarding anime is the art work. And I see plenty of it in Previews and it is just not my cup of tea.

But that is just like the work of Sal Buscema (long time Spider-Man readers will surely remember him) or Jae Lee (whose work I hated on Hulk/Thing Hard Knocks, I thought it was awful). You either like it or you do not.  :tftongue

I'd really try Galaxy Force first, as the horribly done accents in Cybertron will drive you mad.

as to the object/power seeking thing... sometimes. i usually don't watch animes that involve that, so my experience is limited. from what I have seen, it tends to be a temporary element, shown for three or four episodes, then the character gets the power up. stuff like dragon ball Z has the seeking power thing on and off throughout the entire series. it's not really a matter of cheaper anime so much as it's a plot device taken too far sometimes(Armada, Energon(Up until the 25th episode or so, then it's a minor deversion. and is completely abandoned in the last ten episodes.)Dragon Ball Z.).

Perhaps but those I would need to download which I am not really willing to do. If my pc can even do it because it has been causing me problems with certain programmes.

And after having Kicker on the show, nothing can drive me mad anymore. Doubt anything could be worse than that.

I do not mind a plot device running trough an entire series such as the Mini-Cons but it should be handled well as it was in the Armads PS2 game. That way one never got bored.

I walked around hoping to find the next Mini-Con and the gnarly powers with it. :tftongue

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

The Minicons in armada had "gnarly powers" too.

The Japenses fans Love Beast Wars

The Marvel artists couldn't draw the faction symbles correctly either

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

But at least their artwork was a whole lot better than what we saw in the GF catalogues. Geoff Senior had his own style. Blocky but it still had emotion and good dynamics. I learned to like it. Naturally the faction symbols would be a little blocky then.

Of course Andrew Wildman's art was beautiful. I liked how he drew the Transformers with little bits hanging off. Made them more human. Or at least more alive.

But it is a shame that there is such bad art work in the catalogues. Especially after Armada and Energon.

I have seen nearly the entire run of Medabots which clearly anime. I must say that allthough some kids had traits that were less than admirable, none of them were really annoying.

So kids do not have to be annoying even if it is anime. I think Kicker was a bit older than 13 though. Though it is hard to tell from the way he acted.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Kicker was 16

You think Andrew Wildman is a good artist!?  :tflaugh

The Japenese are superior TF artists.

'CUZ IT'S BETTER IF IT'Z JAPANEZE OMG OMG OMG BBQ

Um...have you noticed how the Energon and Alternators art looks similar to the DW art? 'Cause, yanno, it's not like their emulating them or anything...
