Humans wouldn't be that bad, as long as they're adults. It makes sense for Autobots to have government allies and contacts, so that wouldn't be bad. 'Cons working with shadowy government elements, perhaps Generic Evil Organisation, would be nice... TBH, I'm suprised the 'Cons never worked with the Soviet Union against the Autobots and the West. They had a lot of fuel, and I daresay were willing to work with the 'Cons provided the 'Cons coated their claims with enough bull.

Kids just don't make sense to me. At all.

Yes I was and I remember what I liked back then and that was Transformers and not robot shows with humans in it such as Robotix. I thought those were really stupid.

I agree with Optimus Thunderpants. Humans could be allies such as GB Blackrock in the G1 comic. The Decepticons would then ally other humans.

I can imagine Megatron ordering the Stunticons to enter in human racing tournaments to win money so he can buy stuff for evil schemes. What are the Autobots going to do about that?  :tfevil  It is perfectly legal and that is what makes it more evil.

I was a kid once and I never cared about the human characters back then.  As I watch G1 shows now though, I am glad that the human characters served some purpose.  The last good human character was Koji in RID.  The Autobots were helping to find his father and he knew enough to stay at the Autobot HQ.

I think that's what all of this comes from. We're making pronouncements on what should and shouldn't be in the show based on our personal preferences.

So experience means nothing to you?  Does your arm have to burn completely before you realize that it's bad for you?

I don't understand... what's wrong with human characters again? I watched the Armadaverse as much as G1, and I can't see a difference in how the humans are delt with.

(and Digimon kicks ass; the new X Evolution movie features NO HUMANS at all)

I'm just saying that MAYBE our own personal experiences are.................. subjective?

The Galaxy Force kids stay at the base and help with evacuations .

I prefer a human character who actually does something instead of just stare at the screen, do stuff the doesn't really have to do with the main storyline, and get in trouble all the time and require the Autobots to drop everything to help them.  As for allies like governments and stuff, that would be cool to see.  I can see the American pres going like "we've got trouble and it looks like its Decepticon trouble.  We need the Autobots.  Put me in touch with their base madame secretary."

That would be cool and according to the first DW series is what the humans and Autobots did to end the Decepticon threat and build the Ark II. Of course other humans had to mess things up.

As for the cartoons, all I know is that I disliked human characters as a kid unless they were well written into the story and if they were tolerable.

Kicker was neither. He was a forced on character who did nothing but whine and shout out orders, did not follow someone else's orders and extremely annoying.

Even his toy sucked as it broke right of the packaging. (Realistic though because that is how long he should have lasted in the cartoon.) Even Wheelie is a better toy.

So I really hated him so that may have clouded my judgement a little. But I talked to my lawyer and he says no one can blame me for that. :tflaugh
