After reading the "If Transformers came back with a GOOD show..., ...what would it be like?" topic (http://www.TFans.com/talk/index.php?showtopic=31059&st=0) I wanted to do a poll.

The topic speaks for itself. I would like to see the cartoon take place on just Cybertron so I would say no humans at all for a change.

Of course there are those who say that humans are needed for kids to identify themselves with. (Or something like that.) I say that is typical human arrogance, thinking that humans are so important that they have to be in the show.

If you ask any of the Transformers fans about humans then they will all agree that most were annoying. Spike was ok and so were Sparkplug and Chip (nice to see someone with glasses in a cartoon), Daniel was a whiny kid so I did not like him that much.

Koji (from Robots In Disguise) was ok. The Armada kids were awful and not to even mention Kicker. I quite hate him, ooh yes indeed. The Cybertron kids I do not yet know about.

So with most of them being an annoyance I do not really see a need for them to be in the next cartoon.

I'm OK with humans involved in the TF universe as long as

A: they're not annoying ass children that the TF's have to babysit constantly

&

B: they're not on the same level as TF's, but more unfortunate bystanders that get their lives pwn3d by the TF war, as the idea behind G1 originally was.

Beast Wars lacked humans as well though there were the early homo sapiens. And both Beast Wars and Beast Machines were the best Transformers shows ever made.

Hmmm, a coincidence?  :tflaugh

I fear that humans will return but I can still dream can I? I would just like to see how many people would want to see a TF cartoon without humans.

And never say never. Sean Connery said he would never do Bond. Then he did Never Say Never Again. And now he is going to voice Bond in the new Bonc game.  :tftongue

I guess I'm too cynical about it right now. Plus I do see the point that Transformers *is* a kids' show and kids don't get upset about having kids in the shows the way we do.

I think we're pretty much doomed with annoying kids until America comes in again. It's just they treat Transformers over there like Pokemon/Yugioh/Digimon bullcrap.. aparently autobots are always at the mercy of three randomly selected children.. I just don't get it.

Kids are okay as long as they aren't making orders, or are the focus of the entire story.

For myself - and being a G1 fan - i like the idea of Robots in Disguise - which means: a fair amount of realistic alt modes interacting with humans... ON EARTH

And expansion of this idea i suppose is - Robots in Disguise on MARS or whatever... What do TFs scan and integrate when they go to OTHER planets or are all planets only EARTH and Cybertron?

No.

What do you mean by no?

I can always dream, it is a free country.

And though I techinally do not object to humans they should be done in a G1 style such as Spike and Sparkplug were. Enhancing the story were needed without being overly annoying.

Humans wouldn't be that bad, as long as they're adults. It makes sense for Autobots to have government allies and contacts, so that wouldn't be bad. 'Cons working with shadowy government elements, perhaps Generic Evil Organisation, would be nice... TBH, I'm suprised the 'Cons never worked with the Soviet Union against the Autobots and the West. They had a lot of fuel, and I daresay were willing to work with the 'Cons provided the 'Cons coated their claims with enough bull.

Kids just don't make sense to me. At all.
