EARTH CHILDREN & the transformers

i bought all the DVDs for G1, me and my brother were just laughing at all the stupid silly plots, and also the irritating humans, i really only liked the movie and the first 3 epiodes of TF "More thanmeets the eye", as we kept watching the show, it wasnt really leading to anything.....  unlike the anime shows, Armadas quest for te minicons and unicron , Superlinks energon and the unicron and now the current TF series, Galaxy force has been a very great show so far and i really liked energon.

i think we all are in unison here that beast wars was a good show. I think i actually enjoyed watching it. But, uh-oh! Mainframe came out with the show Reboot! twas awful

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

the first seasons of Reboot was fine.  Mainframe also did Action Man, which was great.

It's all because of RID being our first taste of a TF anime.

Although I asked ES to get me some VCDs of RID... :redface

RiD was great because it didn't take itself seriously.  It's just a light-hearted show that's fun to watch.  Armada and Energon were just as silly but tried to hide it too much.

Am i the only one who kinda just stopped reading after the first page?....

They already did, three years ago.

Takara invented time travel? :tfhuh

Of course we should have something new and different.

Getting back to Star Trek. The Next Generation was a decent show but pretty much similar to The Original Series. Then Deep Space Nine came along and it was completely different.

Many fans did not like it (my uncle included) but I loved it. I disliked Voyager which was more of the same. Enterprise was neat because they dared to do something new.

Of couse different could flop but I say it is worth the risk.

I liked Robots In Disguise because it was silly and the writers did not care.  :tftongue

The nice thing about G1 is that with loose episodes one can watch them when one feels like it. That would not be possible with Armada or Energon. I like Starscream's brigage or Ghost In The Machine.

Sure the story was not flawless but still neat to watch.

But that has been done. It is time to perhaps ditch Optimus Prime and Megatron and start anew with a completely different series.

"Fortune favors the bold." so lets be bold.

I don't see TNG as being all that similar to TOS, except in the basic premise. But maybe that's just me liking TNG 100000000000% better. I guess in a lot of ways it was the same, just updated. Then again, there were a LOT of TOS fans who sh*t all over TNG when it started. Reminds me of some G1 fans.
