I didn't really follow Beast Machines, was it ever explained why their new forms were hideous?  None of the Maximals reverted back to their BW1 forms; they looked much, much worse.  Or was I supposed to overlook that and just accept a new artistic style?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

In the very first episode all the maximals are back in their original BW S1 bodies.  they get the new uglier bodies later in the first episode.

Ohh yeah, that's right.  I only saw the first 5-6 episodes when they aired.  The new designs, as well as how they threw the happy ending BW had out the window, turned me off the series.

Oh there's a happy ending in Beast Machines. Everyone just hated it. :tflaugh

i thought they way they killed the happy ending was cool, i hate happy endings truthfully, i like great plot twist

I as under the conception that Megs was the last pred to survive the beast wars.

The last scene of Beast Wars is Waspinator being worshiped and saying "Waspinator finally happy"

Seriously?  :tflaugh

Beasties is nearing the end point on YTV and I can see that being the perfect ending after this guy is repeatedly blown apart, and pawned left, right and centre. That'll definitely be something to look forward to IMO.

On topic. I have only seen the first five eps of Beastmachines on DVD and for the most part any and all questions about the virus and the devolution of the Maximals is answered in the first couple of eps. Reguarding the techno organic forms I honestly don't see why nearly everybody has a problem with this. IMO they looked best in the first Season of BWs and went WTF throughout season 2 and 3. Going techno organic wasn't really that difficult to take after seeing Primals transmetal purple monkey mode. I actually thought everyone looked pretty cool at the start of Beastmachines.  A bit strange but not really as bad as everyone initially made out.

:luv ers to Beast Machines Black Arachnia.

Seriously?  :tflaugh

sorry dude, I'd've put that in a spoiler if I'd thought anyone here hadn't already seen it. :redface

No problem. :thumb

I knew what most of Beastwars was about from all the numerous spoiler threads, and lengthy LM explanations. Dinobot's death and the golden disks may not have been a surprise but it hasn't prevented me from enjoying it every bit of much as I have. :thumb
