thats all fair and good, but it doesnt explain how Waspinator arrived on Cybertron. I as under the conception that Megs was the last pred to survive the beast wars. And another thing, why didnt megs save the Preds on cybetron and just wipe out the maximals?

Waspinator survieved the beast wars, he stayed on earth and the proto-Humans treated him like a god. Eventualy the Proto-Humans fired him out of a catapult. Waspinator then Flew/Hitchiked back to Cybertron(taking thousends of years) just in time for Megatron to rip his spark out and implant it in Thrust.

The last scene of Beast Wars is Waspinator being worshiped and saying "Waspinator finally happy"

I didn't really follow Beast Machines, was it ever explained why their new forms were hideous?  None of the Maximals reverted back to their BW1 forms; they looked much, much worse.  Or was I supposed to overlook that and just accept a new artistic style?

In the very first episode all the maximals are back in their original BW S1 bodies.  they get the new uglier bodies later in the first episode.

As a point of interest, here's the concept artwork for Beast Machines Optimus Primal... It seems to me that Hasbro's idea of "technorganic" was more cyborg-ish than Mainframe's.

i like that design it's pretty cool, too bad they couldn't use that for cybertron.

The toy versions of BM Optimus Primal and Cheetor are both very close to the concept artwork. The reason that the show versions look so different is b/c Mainframe took a lot of artistic liberties with the designs.

well it does look like that see through blue op but not the cartoon like one air attack which is my favorite

Ohh yeah, that's right.  I only saw the first 5-6 episodes when they aired.  The new designs, as well as how they threw the happy ending BW had out the window, turned me off the series.
