How much did the virus from BM

Recommended Posts

Megatron was just talking sh*t to Primal because he got his ass PWNED by the Maximals and he wanted to pull a gotcha on them. Which I guess he kind of did... The only Maximals who back up Megatron's statements are Primal (who was blaming himself for something that wasn't really his fault) and Nightscream (who was pissed at the Maximals b/c of what Megatron did to everyone he knew on Cybertron).

Actually it was sort of Primal's fault.  If they had not strapped Megs to the shuttle's hull, and instead kept him in the shuttle, he might not would have escaped while they were in Transwarp Space and arrived at Cybertron a long time before the Maximals did.  Since Primal was in charge, the decision to strap Megs to the hull would have ultimately been his to make.

true dat

but the Maximals assumed that Megatron had been destroyed when he flew off the ship... I'm guessing that leaving a transwarp field when you're not in a transwarp ship is probably not a fun thing to do. Either way I suppose it was Primal's call... but then would there have been any room in the shuttle for Megs? It might have been more dangerous to keep him inside. Who knows.

Yeah, who knows.  Personally, I would have destroyed his ass.  There would be nothing left but ashes.

But then you wouldn't have an anti-nature Transformer as your INH Kid. I think it worked out for the best. :tflaugh

Maybe the matrix/oracle made the decision for primal, because if megs had been destroyed/inside the shuttle, Cybertron wouldn't have been reformatted.

They forgot what there, BODIES LOOKED LIKE!  :tfmad

The "suprise twists" were terrible and seemed to ruin the characters and/or cybertron.

It did have great themes or whatever, but it did not fit verymuch. Leafy Cybertron looked cool in TF: Universe though. >_<

I don't get what you're saying.

OK, Beast Wars went through that whole Transmetal body thing, that entire thing about Transmetal 2 bodies, and of coures Primal and Optimus Prime!!

AND THEN AT THE START OF BEAST MACHINES THEY HAVE THE SEASON 1 BODIES.

WTF!  :wtf

Are you serious?

'Cuz, they like, explained that in the show and stuff.

he does have a good point, if the virus had damaged thier tm2 bodies why did they revert to beast modes and not protoforms

because if they went back to protoforms, they could never've done what the matrix destined them to do.  duh :roll

Because that makes no sense.......?

The quantum surge that Transmetallized the Maximals didn't destroy their old bodies, but merely enhanced them, which is why they still had the same beast modes as before (and still bore a resemblance to their old bodies in robot mode). This even happened with Optimus Primal, whose body had been destroyed; when his spark was brought back, he emerged as a Transmetal gorilla, not some other animal (or even a vehicle). The same was true for Cheetor and Blackarachnia when they encountered the Transmetal 2 driver -- it didn't give them *new* bodies but *upgraded* their existing bodies. And of course Optimus Primal simply mutated into Optimal Optimus after taking Optimus Prime's spark into himself. Again, he retained his original body, but it was just altered b/c of the influence of Prime's spark. (And that is an important point -- Prime's *spark* caused Primal to mutate... think about that for a moment.)

Megatron's virus froze a TF's transformation, and as we see from what happens to the Maximals, it apparently forcibly reverted them to their alt mode, making them an easier target. The virus had the additional effect of de-transmetallizing the Maximals and "devolving" them to their most basic forms. This is conjecture, but I would imagine that Megatron designed his virus this way on purpose, precisely because he knew that the Maximals would be arriving back on Cybertron someday.

That's what I think.
