Alright, I painted the rear bumper...just need to get the rear side fenders.

 

I also painted the rear side windows over in white...they arecurrently drying.

 

I went out and found Testor's Clear Decal paper...and gave printing the Red alert logo a shot...its not what I was looking for...but it might work. I am actually doing a test piece on the now-"junker" Armada Red alert.

 

I am actually working on the Repair Bay...but its a lot tougher than I thought. I actually realized that the part would not fit on the end of the @$$-plate...so I had to try and shoot for the sides. I dremel'd some slots int the side...and it looks like it could almost work...but now I think I'll have to drill a little slice off of the bottom of the driver's-side door.

 

I guess the pics will explain:

 

This shows how I imagine the repair bay to work...I experimented on a spare Wheejack...a few slots would have to be cut to make it actually fit under the seat of the Mustang.

 

This is just to show how the decal looks on the plain white area of Armada Red alert...this is a Test to see what its going to look like when its dry...

Now that's looking tight SQ.  It seems like it's all coming together flawlessly.  I think that the next one you should do is the armada wheljack, the photoshop version you posted looked great.  Keep the progress pics coming...

I put the last coat on the legs last night, so i should have fully assembled pics when I get home from work later tonight.

 

It still won't be complete...but it'll be close.

Still have to find an appropriate light bar...and add the red stripe to the sides, and paint the rims gold.

 

Unfortunately I think I am going to have to pass on making the repair-bay...I am terrified of ruining my custom.  I did experiment on the one extra piece I had...but I would actually have to cut into the Red alert "repair-bay" window to make it fit properly.

 

I want to make the Armada Wheeljack custom...but I don't know when I will see an Alternator Prowl around here...so I'm probably going to start with the Hotshot custom.

 

I think MattimusPrime has a Prowl and he might make the Wheeljack custom first...I would love to see it made!  (and if he doesn't want the light bar...I could use it for my Red alert)

tell you what man, im have aprowl right now....but im currently bidding on that skyblue variant im trying to get one lost out on the last 2 on ebay at the last second if i win this one ill be making that wheeljack(armada cartoon colors) and u can have the light bar off of it  and trust me im gonna get this one of evilbay but back on subject this project is reall looking awesome looking forward to the finished product u got me looking through armade-energon for insiration now

I was kinda thinking about makign an Armada Starscream as well...but I don't know which Alt I would do...(I really don't like the idea of a jet becoming a car...but what are you gonna do?)

 

Anyway...there is always Armada Sideswipe...I know someone was working on a custom with him on Transtopia...but I forget who...

 

It migth be just me...but doesn't Alt Hounds head look suspiciously like Armada Cyclonus?  I think it would work.

 

Armada Blurr, Energon Prowl...all great characters...I think I might resurrect that Alternator Energon Rodimus custom I did and finish it properly now that I am more confident.  Alt Smokescreens head is dead on for Energon Rodimus.

Alright so every Alternator needs a license plate...so here is the one I designed:

I had to cut into the red striping around the Mustang's "GT" emblem and around the door handle by hand...so hopefully it doesn't look too bad.

 

(I still need to add an emergency vehicle light...which will hopefully come from Mattimus Prime when he starts his Alt Prowl/Armada Wheeljack custom)

I also need to paint the rims in a gold finish, and finish painting his minicon Longarm.
