It looks like another one of those blah paint apps Hasbro puts on the prototypes. Like when they had that dirt (albeit cool looking) paint app on Decepticharge.

I'd much rather a Rodimus Alternator as a PT Cruiser.

Earlier I ranted about Alternator Skids really having the original G1 cartoon/toy head of IronHide. If I knew exactly how to post a pic of Skids and Ironhide's heads I would. I did check as two other forum members suggested, and there is a clear distinction between the head of IronHide and Skids. For example, Ironhide's head has a sort of hollowed-out, tube-like Mowhalk across the middle of his head. He also has two similar tube-like objects wrapped around his helmet. Furthermore, this is the exact same head shared by Ratchet, as they were doubles of the same vehicle/robot mold. Skids does not have these characteristics about his head. Do your homework and check the original designs. This Skids is an imposter; it's really Ironhide.

Personally I'd like to see Soundwave as a PT Cruiser. ;)

I like this one more and more evry time I see it.  Has/tak should seriously consider including stickers on evry next alt.

The Scion couldn't be any more bland as it stands, I'm happy as long as he sees store shelves at all. THe flames are fine, they don't look any more "craptacular" than the ones on Hot Rod, Speedbreaker or any other flame job having transformer. They're not exactly what I would call necessary, but they don't deter the figure from looking any better worse.

 

I mean, for f**k's sake... he's SKIDS and he's a Scion! I can't conceive of a combination the fandom would be more apathetic towards. They could add angel wings and a monkey accessory and it wouldn't sell any more or less of the bugger.

The flames kinda go with the Scion mentality anyway, customize it like you want. This Alt should come with a few decals so you can decorate him anyway you want.

 

Flames or not, this mold looks great. Mine will be in Robot mode anyway, so the flames and windshield logo do not bother me.

After a run in with Ravage, Skids was heavily out guned and severely damaged in L.A. His armor was perferated, and he looked like he was used in a car bomb. Skids fell into statsis lock, but was able to make it into vehicle mode first. He was found by a young teen slacker and rolled into his driveway. Skids could barely get the poor boy to comunity college and back, with no working air conditioner the boy had to keep all the windows down and drive with his head out the window. Finally his peers took pity on him, and video taped it all, then sent it to MTV. Xibit hauled Skids to West Coast Custums and they repaired him. Not only did they repair his inner workings (who knew they had it in them?) but also fixed his damaged shell. Skids awoke from stasis to not only find a blazin' flame line down his side, but now his interior had a cooler in the dash board, mini disco in his passenger seats, and a fully loaded xbox in the trunk and a selection of games and the latest Xibit album. When he tried to thank the boys at WCC, Xixbit stopped him in mid sentence and just grabbed a phantom color and said "Skidz, you've been pimped."

 

(actually I LIKE this design on him, though the chest is a lil big and blocky)
