I would not be surprised at all if the blue version of Prowl ended up as Mirage though I was a little surprised that nobody's brought up such a possibility yet.  That Nightbeat character people go on about doesn't work much better.

 

And if the price increase is because Hasbro wants more money, I have a humble suggestion: Do SOMETHING to make Alternators available at retail because damnit no price increase in the world is going to help you otherwise.  I'd love to see trucks and planes even if they cost more but the way things are going mine'll keep coming from Takara.

$30 Diecast Alternators would be nice too.

If $10.00 more a pop is what it takes for Hastak to keep the best toy line ever going, then I am all for it.

I'm sorry if you enjoy being ripped off.  How exactly is it "whining" for people to complain about price-gouging?  A $10 price hike is fine if it means bigger, better molds, but a price-hike just for the hell of it?  No.  That's not just Blotty business, it should be illegal.

 

I've never said anything against Hasbro before, but if they raise the price of their products, which aren't even available in brick and mortar stores in the first place, they'll put themselves right out of business, and that's exactly where they'll belong.  They already killed their G1 Joe line through mishandling and general Blottiness.  Does anyone really think Transformers are exempt?

did they say 6 more molds or just 6 new alts in new molds couldnt it be 2 or 3 new molds andcoubles of them?

 

since they got thew copywrite for bumblebee's name and VW showed intrest in the film got announced he could be one of them

They said 11 new Alts total for 2006, 5 repaints and 6 new molds.  That's roughly 1 per month.  An Alt BB based on the one in the BT book would kick all sorts of arse.  Would be best alt ever.  Wishful thinking but maybe....

So it may just mean 19.99 up to 24.99 or something

and as i mentioned before - there is no indication that this is anything but a marketing decision, and will not reflect new or better molds

 

That being said - we can all be optimistic and hope!  As much as we Starscream - these toys have been pretty damn nice! so i imagine i will be buying them even at 5 or 10 bucks increase - and i will keep enjoying them

Yes and I'm the person who wrote that report since I was there helping with the coverage & all that was said was there may be a price increase but there was no dollar figure thrown around.
