Megatron Reissue

Recommended Posts

As I believe was mentioned before, the concept of the drop test is purely one of piece size. It's not being done because they think every fall will be from that exact height - it's simply to establish if dangerously sized pieces frequently occur upon breaking.

But my heart breaks when I think of Fortress Maximus after Fortress Maximus being dropped...

Drop test is stupid, are kids really gonna drop their stuff on the pavement that hard

I dunno about you, but most kids I knew sure played fairly rough with their toys, including accidentally dropping them sometimes (most 3-6 year olds aren't *that* coordinated yet and fumble with things now and then). And sometimes, yep. That happens on hardwood floors, or cement or pavement. And we all know little kids put all sorts of things in their mouth. All it takes is one death and BAM. Hasbro's sued. And guess where that money comes out of? Bingo, their budget. Yanno, that thing they use to design and make new Transformers. ;)

I'd prefer they err on the side of caution, even if it means sometimes we don't get Megatron or Max. Better than losing the whole line due to it having a reputation of being dangerous and thus getting no sales.

Adult collectors tend to be far more careful than kids.

Kids ruin everything, just kidding. But i still don't like the drop test

I don't like it either. I wouldn't mind seeing Maximus at a reasonable price.. but it's more important for Hasbro to be a responsible business than to give us *everything* we want. The fans would certainly Starscream when they collapsed as a business from lawsuits. :nuts

Heres a question... how could a 3-6 year old even pick up Max, let alone drop him from a high enough point to shatter?

I think most children can handle ten pounds.

*sigh* Again.

It's not a question of specific height, specific level of damage, specific whatever.

It's a question of average broken piece size.
