This is kinda what irritates me about the person who merges the threads in this forum.  I know they are only doing their job and the intent is good....but many times it just causes confusion.

 

Yes, CD Japan has completely sold out.  I was  the one who posted that notification and I had one on order.  They canceled the order along with another site I had ordered it from.

 

To the person who asked why I bought two.  I had a couple different ideas on what I wanted to do with the second one.  But with this guy posting how bad he wants one, I figured it wouldn't be awful to help out a fellow Tfan member.

 

And for those of you betting Hasbro will repaint him the same.  I stick by my earlier comments.  He will have to be "significantly" different from the Takara Special.  I'm betting not Red and Yellow, but perhaps Red and another color.  Or they go with the Armada style where he is Predominantly yellow.  Either way, I'm betting money(The money I actually spent on the bots) that it ain't going to look near as good or near as close to G1.  My two cents.

ok listen. im fully aware that hasbro will prolly come out with one. im prepared to accept the fact that it might even look better than the exclusive one. but your so opposed to the idea of getting the exclusive one than dont get it. its not like i payed for a botcon set that is currently comprised of two peices of Blot. and obviously i really liked the g1 hotrod wich is why i want this so bad. and you know what? when the $10 hasbro one comes out ill buy it to.

believe me i won't buy it, however, that doesn't mean i'm not allowed to mock the rest of you for laying down $100 for a repaint of a brand new toy...  welcome to posting on the internet, enjoy your stay.

don't worry about someone mocking you for buying a product you believe in, aslong as you're happy with what you paid for and feel it was worth it, that's all that matters, me personally, i like hotrod and his new hotshot persona, but i own not one of them, don't know why just never brought any.

Wow, this thread got a whole lot more lame after the last time I read it. You guys that want to spend that kind of dough on something we may possibly get here, good for you. Those of us that aren't into that kind of thing will probably never understand. Don't worry about it. Don't take it personal. If you can justify it into your budget, then that's all you should be worried about.

Also I'd like to point out that Hot Rod was initaly hated when he was first introduced, and even moreso hated when he became Rodimus Prime...and still is one of the mroe hated characters out there

 

So really what gives?

 

It's hotshot repainted like G1 Hot Rod...he was repainted like Hot Rod before in Armada

 

I mean you can get the Original Hot Rod and Rodimus Prime for cheaper than buying the Energon Repaint that only looks like the G1 character
