BT-16 Wild Rider is not Yellow

Recommended Posts

It might be possible to interchange the purple parts with red ones from Alt Windcharger. What you might have to do is unscrew some parts here or there and maybe pull a couple of pins, then take those and replace them on BT Wildrider. Of course he would end up with gray/silver legs instead of purple which would look nicer IMO anyway.

Some of the paneling/car parts might have to be seperated from the arms and/or chest as well. I haven`t looked too closely at the parts yet so I can`t comfirm. I don`t have mine here with me at the present time since I`m in the process of moving back to Maryland so maybe someone else can.

Also, maybe someone would like to photoshop a version of BT Wildrider with all of the purple replaced with red. Paint his face red too and give him blue eyes, along with an all silver helmet.  More of a G1 toon look.

Maybe this should have been posted in the Kitbashers section. Anyway, just a thought

Just thought I'd post a pic of them side-by-side for an easier comparison. I honestly think Decepticharge looks MUCH better.

I agree w/ that for the bot mode. The racing decals of DC make me want to vomit. But that's just me.   :thumb

:pfx

There always has to be something wrong with this mold, either the crappy decals and the big 4 or those horrid bot mode colours on Wildrider. I guess I'll just wait to see pictures of the final Wildrider before I make a final judgement.

Hmm does red makes him look better?

For once, i actually prefered hasbro's colour scheme...

did a quick retouch...

here's wildrider in his G1 color scheme:

I like the second one. That would be sweat.

yeah i'm not a fan of too many constrasting colours either...

I like the second one, but I think the first one would look better if the head were like the second one.

The second one is more what I had in mind. Not too much red but just enough to contrast the silver and at the same time getting rid of any yellow. Much better IMO than Barney purple :D

Wildrider alt mode: nice... EXCEPT for the spoiler.  It just looks wrong with that paint job, it's too gaudy

Wildrider bot mode: garish and fugly :puke

Decepticharge alt mode: meh

Decepticharge bot mode: meh

Looks like the only thing of real value from this mold is the new head.  Otherwise... :tdown

I think the worst part about this ugly mofo is going to be listening to Manhammer sing his praises and tell everyone else they're wrong for the next 3 months :guh ;)

I'm liking the yellow more and more each time I see it. I just wish he didn't have his gun cut off, plus didn't have the stupid name.

I like the yellow DCharge, but not the fake decals..

I like the silver WRider, but the bot mode colors don't mesh well enough for me + I can't afford Binaltech!
