Alternators Thrust

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, I just finsihed this up the other night:

Alternators Thrust

. . . and I took a couple of quick pictures today.  I plan to work more on this idea to make it up to scale with my other customs, in terms of collage composites, etc. (click my sig if you are curious as to what I am talking about).  Constructive critisim is welcomed.  I'll keep this thread updated with more things from this guy.

Very good i must say...Im not sure IMO if the mold was right for thrust.

Well the paint job does look very good ... but Thrust is maroon! ;)

But Imprezas do not have a stock color of "maroon" . . .

I want to keep my customs as close to factory models or real customs as possible.

Plus, I am not necessarily making a G1 clone.  Alternators to me isn't trying to copy G1 exactly.  Their roots are past TFs, but not necessairly having to copy G1 schemes down to the tacky stickers.

Whoops! Did i just say that G1 stickers were tacky?  I guess so! :tflaugh

Well I am making all 7 of the seekers.  Silverstreak's head is perfect.  Plus, I can get this mold cheap, thus saving some of the shelf-warmers.  What mold would you suggest?

nice paint color. unfortunately I have a silverstreak prepped to be painted red as well... please don't think I'm copying you :)

Are you going to use the same mold for every seeker?

Hey man, it's cool!  As long as we are all creating and we give proper credit to who comes up with an idea and such (like me taking credit for making an Alt you came up with, etc.) we're coo.  I am making a "Skywarp" Alt and Lobo just created one the other day (check it out; it rocks!).  I came up with my idea for making the seekers into Alts a while back (about Novemeber or so of 2004), but we are all free to create.  I doubt I can copyright painting a car red (haha wished I could!)

l Well, I am going to alternate (bad pun!) between the Smokescreen and the Silverstreak molds.  I do, however, want to do something a bit different for ol' Screamer.  Still generating ideas . . .

Very nice! Have you tried attaching a engine weapon to each side of his arm? It would make nice reference to the plane seekers.
