UK Sightings

just a quick one, has anyone used bigbadtoystore for delivering to the uk ? used ellismodels when they were running and used epicheroes now and then but they just cant compete with the bigger stateside stores. so has anyone any experience from them ?

BBYS are 100% solid. They wont under declare the value however, so you may get stung on 'customs charges'

BBTS are my usual shop, they're awesome.

However... customs may stick an extra charge on. BBTS have to put the true value on.

XyberToys are good for small orders in the UK as they have free S&H. It adds up if you buy alot though.

I've used KMH728 and Toyspark (ebay sellers from singapore and hong kong respectively) to buy my BTs/MPs for several years now always without incident. On the one occasion I did have a defective toy (BTA01 alert - factory defect) the guy happily exchanged it without charge. Prices are competitive if you combine shipping and as many products are released at similar times it's usually easy to do so. Toysunited and trojantoy were quite good also. It's worth noting that often if you email people with offers you can negotiate a higher price by dealing outside of ebay. I know there are risks involved but the majority of my transactions with the first 2 sellers mentioned have been private deals without incident - by not listing on ebay they save $$ and consequently so do we.

Epicheroes are overpriced for many things (as they pay the import fees) but occasionally you can get a good deal - I bought the first wave of classics for £91 shipped - not bad considering they'll be £80+ in TRU and we won't see them for months. (and when we do there's no guarantees with the dstribution) Xybertoys were very good and friendly also. I would use BBTS and the others but after being stung by some huge import fees once before (when I first started collecting G1) I would rather buy from those who mark down the prices as appropriate and use reliable shipping methods.

Well, I have something on order from BBTS, but am having a spot of bother tracking it.. How long does it usually take for an order to arrive from them?

If you pick air parcel or letter post, usually a week/eight days.

Classics Prime and Megatron have been confirmed as due at end of October.
