Lambor, alert, and Sunstreaker were all brothers in japan

Roulette, Shadowstriker and an unammed third fembot were twins

Mach alert, Wildrider, and Speedbreaker

Cataclysm and "The Cub"(later known as Windrazor after being fused with Swoop)

Unicron and Primus

DJ, Gimlet, and Motorarm

SL Lazerwave and SL Sixshot

Fortress Maximus and Grand Maximus

Buster and Hydra

Meister and Zoom-Zoom

God Magnus and Fire Convoy

...and most of those are outside the US continuities. How wonderful

i usually explaine the concept of brothers by using the spark retcon. maybe sometimes when a spark is created, it has a significantly above average energy level so as a resault, it splits in two(and in rare cases, three) to keep from overloading.

I like that theory.  It works very well.

Air Razor and Cheetor are kind of like brother and sister, since part of Cheetor was used to help finish Air Razor's protoform.

Sunstorm & Starscream, retcon-style.

It makes sense, but I don't consider Dinobot's evil clone to be Rampage's brother...DB2 was just a soulless machine whose only reason for being was to maim Maximals (until Rampage's death). I consider Reflector to be triplets, so to speak (they all share a single consciousness)

Can we confine this to US continuity please, Xbob? Otherwise, we'll be all over the place with this one, and we'll get completely muddled down in stuff we could really care LESS about.

Sunstorm & Starscream, retcon-style.

You mean the nameless yellow Seeker who was turned into a "real" character by obsessed fanboys? Sure, sure

Sunstorm exists in an officially-licensed continuity. Deal.

But my point is, he was originally a fan-made character. I don't understand why Dreamwave actually catered to fanboys on that one

The origins of his character are inconsequential; he exists in an official continuity and is Starscream's brother in said continuity, whether you "accept" it or not.
