THAT THREAD IS A MESS!

Oh yeah, the part where Spike says "Oh Blot!" has to be in there!

...

:wtf WTF! :wtf

How are some of them not getting it?!?!?!

I'm sorry for the outburst, but that thread was just really aggravating. Hopefully, the people chosen for the reel get it. Maybe I should start cutting one too just in case :roll

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Instances like that are exactly why I don't go there anymore :P

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

It was a joke. Duh!

As regards concerns that nothing post movie will end up in there, at least 3 of the contributors are intending to include Beast Wars moments as well as comic moments, so it seems from the posts of those people they fully intend to show a more rounded perspective.

In addition they're still waiting for people to suggests moments that sum up Transformers 101, so you have your chances to see your suggestions on the reels.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

1 of them was joking...the other wasn't. :wtf

I'm really glad they're including stuff from BW/BM and the comics. It's what helped to define TF's in the 19 years after the original G1 show ended, and is what kept the fandom so strong.

Hey guys, just wanted to let you know I'm one of the editors working on this.  I'm Prowl on Donny's Board.  I have been reading every fan's opinion on there, and this board, as well as other boards.  This will not be a "My opinion" video.  We want after all a great film next year, not one transfan's film. So based on all of that, I will be making an entire hour long video of Wheelie, and Daniel's relationship with Arcee.... :clap  kidding, but although at work, I'll be reading and copying and pasting almost all of the comments onto a word document that I am reading and getting inspiration from.

All I ask for is a scan of the Botcon comic where Wheelie and Daniel get killed by a hundred Nightbirds. :thumb

Done.  And I'll use some tricks to actually animate it ;) :tfevil

Okay seriously...

1) LUCKY YOU I'M SO FRIGGIN' JEALOUS!!!

2) since you asked (not really but I'm pretending you did), my thought would be that anything from MTMTE would be great... TF:TM is a bit over the top IMO but I realize that I'm alone in that opinion... :D

3) DID I MENTION I'M JEALOUS!!!!!

I digitized MTMTE last night.  It will definitely be in there.  I won't be using elements from it to show "I want this scene in the movie" but to show important elements about Transformers that are highlighted in those 3 episodes.  I know that some might not use to because it's what's expected, but MTMTE is Transformers at its roots.  "There's a fine line between being a hero, and being a Legend"  Good stuff lol

yeah totally.... that really set the stage for a lot of what made Transformers special back then, especially concerning the Autobots. The Decepticons were more fleshed out in later episodes IMO.

That scene in MTMTE where Optimus introduces himself to Spike and Sparkplug is still great...

A must is the scene from "More Than Meets the Eye Part 2" after the Autobots pull everyone out of the water on the oil rig::

Sparkplug:  "I don't know who you are, but you saved our lives."

Optimus Prime:  "We're Autobots.  We're from Cybertron, a planet far from Earth."

Spike:  "Another planet, that's awesome!"

Optimus Prime:  "Those who tried to harm you are called Decpticons."

*The meloncholy/drmatic/emotional music is playing in the background and as Prime stands up, his eyes light up when he speaks the next line*

"We must stop them before they destroy your world."

That to me is one of the coolest, most emotionally moving parts, of the entire series.  It is definitely my favorite.  :thumb
