Has anyone brought up the fact that the Autobot Matrix would have been as big if not bigger than most Maximals? And why would Maximals have an Autobot doo-hickey?

... In Optimal Situation Primes spark holder wasn't bigger than Primal. Why would the spark holder be smaller than the Matrix if it was ment to be a decoy?

I agree about the 300 years thing. I know that Skir at least always saw BM as taking place looooong after G1 and even BW.

 

And technically speaking, a "deus ex machina" is something that comes in at the last minute out of nowhere in a WTF-ish to save the day. (see "Eagles" in The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings.) Megatron's virus was all a setup to the BM story.

Yeah, the whole 300 years thing just doesn't sit well.  It should have been more like 300 million years.  Then that could explain a lot.  Considering Transformers units of time are far greater than humans, if you go with the comic book side as well.  1 Vorn = approx. 83 Earth years.  300 years is far too short a time for a lot of the things that suppossedly happened.

In BW they used different units of time than in G1, so what's not to say that 1 year for Transformers was not 1 year on Earth. So maybe it was actually 300 Vorns, and they just adopted the word year. That makes the difference about 25,000 Earth years. (You can explain anything with retcon. :tflaugh)

you know, i really don't put much faith in the exclusive convention comics. first of all, they took Larry DiTillio's little throw away line about the vok being the G2 swarm as official canon, herby making BW's time line overtly confusing and contrived. then, they killed off daniel and wheelie, which kind of feels like they were putting fanwanks ahead of good stories. and of course, they also made the 300 year date official canon as well.

 

to me, it seems the writers of the comics took every little fact about BW/BM as gospel without properly considering the context in which said little facts were stated. and again, there was the "fanwanks before good stories" mentality.
