Transformers: Titanium Force

Thanks for the info.  I will probably start calling the local model shops.

With regards to priming, I was mostly worried about the paint staying on, moreso than covering fully.  But that's an equally valid point.

I haven't had any issues with paint coming off, no.  :thumb  I did have an issue with the plastic of the knockoff and the rubber parts on Arcee becoming more brittle with the application of the paint, though.  Not sure if primer would help with that...

I didn't find Model Masters at any of the local chains, I ended up going to teh local hobby shop.  (Apprently, the guy who does the model trains there just got arrested for soliciting a minor.)

Was this San Antonio Hobby Shop?  I used to go there before I realized that most of the employees were Afterburners.

Only a primer with a different, less harsh chemical base would have no effect on the plastic; however, this type of primer would have more than likely been dissolved by the metallics you used - making an even bigger mess.

That's the one, yeah.  I used to buy RC car parts there until I came to that same conclusion.  These days I just buy paint and leave...

Oh - well never mind then.  :thumb

My breaking point story:

I used to shop there all the time.  One day I was checking out some models they had sitting on the front counter (about a half dozen identical plastic kits) when that short guy with the curly blond hair came up, actually grabbed the one I was holding out of my hands and said, "Those aren't for you."  Somewhat taken aback I left and never spent another dime in that place.  Wish I had said something clever like, "Well my money's not for this store anymore!"  - but I was rather shocked at the time considering I was a regular customer.

I'd heard that most of the employees there are weird Jesus-freaks, figures that one of them would get popped for child molestation.

Now I go to D&L in Campbell.

Yeah, see, my problem is that I work literally across the street from San Antonio Hobby, but would have to make an effort to go to Campbell.  There was actually one nice guy in the RC department there years ago, but eventually he left because he didn't like everyone else.  Go figure...
