cybertron official release date?

Recommended Posts

maybe hasbro is trying to get its Blot together before it releases Cybertron.

I'd gladly wait till november for Cybertron so long as Hasbro fixes its distribution problems.

They seemd to get much better here on all fronts, once Grimlock hit the Alternator line. I could have gotten any bot I wanted that was currently avialable in the last few months.

I don't know why they wouldn't keep up the trend.

I have yet to see a Grimlock, Ravage, Shockwave, wheeljack in any of my 6 super walmarts and 2 super targets and 1 regular target... the distribution problem is that some areas have overstock while some never get any stock.

That's how my area was before amd then it got better a couple of months ago.

BTW, Have you gotten Windcharger and Swindle?

If you have, wouldn't that mean that your area is getting Grim and Ravage, and you're just missing them?

Also, my Target doesn't always restock when the Alts are running low or there is just one mold out on the shelf. But they ahve been the most willing to go in the back and get figs for me...maybe you could just ask if they have any Mustangs or Corvettes in the stock room?

Not sure what the release rumours are but after paging through a comics/toy  preview at the local comics/games store I've come up with August 05. Listed in the guide are the basics/deluxes/voyagers/megas and LOC figs. For some reason there was no release info given for OP or MM. I wonder if those will see a sooner release.

Anyways August sounds about right, but it's still a hell of a wait. :tdown

  • 2 weeks later...

I dont know if this is news but I went to Amazon to buy text book and decided to see if any g1 commemoratives were cheap, and I saw this: (as a pre order)

prime appears to be the only one, but at least its a start

EDIT: they have megs too, but no pic

:guh July?? hell with that, he'll be at wal-mart in two weeks :yay but nice find anyway :P

Toys don't have release dates, if they did, we wouldn't have a problem finding the figures we want.  I'd say Cybertron figures could start showing up as soon as June, with July being when the line starts to hit full market saturation across the US.

Actually, don't the TFC toys in Japan have release dates? I thought BT did too, but might be mistaken.

According to Nevermore the official streetdate is supposed to be June 18th - they'll probably start showing up earlier than that at some stores (since a lot of the time the stock people don't pay attention to the dates).

All Japanese toys have release dates, as you can see here.

Hasbro toys, however, don't. Maybe that's gonna change now with Cybertron.

Yeah, toys never have official release dates over here. They're just kinda put out whenever.

That's not 100% true, the new SW toys were supposed to be put out on a specific date.

As I mentioned earlier in this thread (I think), part of me feels that the only reason Cybertron has any kind of release date is to keep consumers focused on Hasbro's SW toys (why compete with your own toylines).
