Could/would there be a Masterpiece Ultra Magnus?

If there was, what would the armor look like? I know that there are a lot of talented TF artists out there, and i would be interested in seeing your ideas.

This was inspired by a post of King poseidon's on the Energon Ultra Magnus topic.

A friend of mine is already doing a kitbash of it, so you could consider him as one of those "great TF artists".... :redface

But honestly, I think he would be pretty showaccurate, and would have MP Convoy as it's base (MP Magnus). As for the armor, the trailer would wrap around him, just like with the G1 toy,

I would love to see a Masterpiece Ultra Magnus. Magnus alone is possible since Takara/Hasbro are repaint crazy. I highly doubt we will get a trailer for UM it would probably cost too much. I would be worried that the figure would lose articulation and look and feel like an overgrown version of the G-1 toy aka: "The Big Red Brick"

i will not pay another 70-95 bucks for a MP prime repaint but i would pay 200 bucks if he had the armor that would be worth it.

Ultra Magnus without armor is not Ultra Magnus.

Ultra Magnus without armor is not Ultra Magnus.

Correct. He'd be plain 'ol Magnus. :)

I saw a photoshop'd pic once but I don't remember where. I'd also want a MP Magnus but to be honest, the photoshop pic made me realize he looks rather 'plain'. A sea of white or a sea of black (Scourge) don't really work that well on a canvas so big. A wee bit odd, since I find those colors look good on the G1 version.

An Ultra Magnus would be good, expecially if the experts at Takara can make his robot mode more flexible than the G1 toy. It would cost a lot though.

MP Diaclone Powered Convoy

This one?

Hrm.. it occurs to me I should probably start signing my "repaints", eh? :)

DragonX76: Photoshop? :)

I wouldn't mind it at all if it was just the cab section repainted white, but if they did a trailer too, that would be cool.
