didn't you read Hasbro's last business statement? TF's dipped in sales, universe and alternators are semi-retired, and commorative series is dead and burried.

LINK ME...

or point me to somewhere I can find this information.

One Reason TF's might have dipped in sales recently would be, oh I don't know, the fact that Energon is over and that new stuff has been a lot of repaints.

Well we all know that toy sales overall are week because this new generation of children are steered clear of imaginative play and are given a controller hooked to a machine to entertain themselves.

I beleive Hasbro has said this in their end of the year report.

"Lacking sales in boys toylines."

If starwars toys are an indication, Hasbro will flood the market with TF movie toys inconjunction with the movies.  Given the limited TFs in the movie (7 on each side?), IMHO there shouldn't be that hard to collect all the movie bots.  Unlike SW character toys.................

it was the end of year report. that's it.

It will probably lead to the same characters in many pricepoints.

i'm sure he's being humorous.

seriously, the worst that could happen to tf's is if the fans bycott the movie. tf's are in a tight spot now. the line is bringing in just enough profit to convince hasbro to keep it going and only by the grace of god is it still going in japan. if the movie bombs, it could be all the excuse hasbro needs to jive-can the entire franchice. and if hasbro quits, takara will race them to the door.

Where does this information come from? I hear stuff like this all the time, and its all different. It sounds like people are just making this up.
