...but seriously, it's the little things that make me dislike the mold (as I've seen it so far).

 

1 - The shoulder area is very akward. It seems to add to the chest making him fat, when they probably could have instituted some tapering neck design to detract from it.

 

2 - Why no ball joints on the doors, so we could face them forward, and makir it a bit more of an homage. With ball joints you could also choose not to. (I'm a big fan of ball joints).

 

3 - No reason thos arms can't be beefier

 

4 - It looks very much like the ankles might have decent articulation, but the leg design will cause the the outer shell (which surrounds the foot) to dictate stability and posing.

 

Now these are just a few complaints, and of course they're based on a few photographs. I could be wrong. I hope I am. But until then, I will judge him....

He looks pretty decent so far but final judgement comes when I own it. He looks better than Sideswipe to me. Looking forward to the gallery Jag.

I have liked this Prowl from the beginning. He's not my favorite Alt/BT but he's pretty good. I only wish they had given him some bigger/bulier arms to compensate for his chest.

 

Other than that, I like him.

Prowl is a top-bot and will go straight to the front lines to lead. Not all bots do that or need extra Armor. Prowl, leading on the frontlines becomes an instant target, like Grimlock, Prime, or Magnus. But he doesn't have the endurance and power of those guys. So to compensate...he gets beefed-up armor.

Yup I know he did in the Tech Specs, but in just about everything else, he really wasn't shown to have as much as the Tech Specs gave him.

Here's a pic of Alt Prowl where the legs seem to be properly transformed here.  The legs look much more like Alt Grimlocks leg now.  It looks bulkier here which makes it look more proportioned to the rest of his body.  Looks like he has knee articulation too.  I like it alot.

notice how the car hood slopes in from chest to stomach... and how the legs are just as wide as his shoulders.

 

Now look at prowl, he is the same width from chest to stomach, his legs are skinny and come out from a waste that doesn't exist.  :tdown

Doughnuts'll do that to ya.  I hope he comes with a ring 'o keys and a clip on his hip to clip the keys onto.  I loike 'im.  I know that he wasn't exactly what I was expecting, but I'm the first one at Toy's R Us buying him. :thumb
