:pfx

I used to post over there during the summer, and I stopped due to the constant rehashing of unnecessary threads and if you didn't have a high post count you were completely ignored.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

The rehashing goes on a lot, yeah.

To be honest, though, while other boards discuss everything Transformers under the sun, all that the Murphyites have to discuss is the upcoming movie.

There's only so many subjects you can discuss. A lot of the time, if Don doesn't have any new news for a few weeks, the discussion goes round in circles.

Plenty of new news to discuss with the latest Q&A section, but out of it, most of it is good news that doesn't require much comment. A few things people aren't so keen on are gonna get discussed to death now.

You don't need a high post count to get attention, just something interesting to say. Sadly, as said, with so few subjects to discuss, very few people have anything new to add that hasn't been already debated to death.

So, if you were ignored, it wasn't personal, it was probably just that what you did post just wasn't new or different enough from the many posts that went before to provoke any comment.

Honestly, glancing at your posts on the various movie subjects here, your views are the same as thse expressed by countless others on dm.net. You're not gonna stand out from the crowd and if getting attention is your only intent when posting your honest opinions on things, you are gonna be disappointed.

I'd hate to see people come along and post controversial crap to get attention though, but it does happen.

I don't post there for recognition or attention, but just cos I like shooting the breeze with fellow fans. I supect it's the same reason most people post on these, and other, boards.

I'd rather have LESS attention. The pigeonholing me as a "geewuner" on a number of boards I can certainly do without.

I must admit that the tone at the DM boards has somewhat changed for the better since the last time I payed more attention to them (i.e.before the server move), and as far as I've gotten to know you, you don't come off as one of the "Gewunners" to me. You're able to string together coherent sentences and are open for discussion aside from "WOTOF ARCIE IS IN TEH MOVIE BUT SHE NUT GEEWUN WOTIF HASBOR SUXX DON SHIZZORS BOYCOT!!!1111"

WOTOF ARCIE IS IN TEH MOVIE BUT SHE NUT GEEWUN WOTIF HASBOR SUXX DON SHIZZORS BOYCOT!!!1111

Actually I think it'd be cool if she was in the movie. G1 was always too much of a sausage fest. :thumb

And just think of the marketing possibilities! An Arcee figure with accessories! Interchangable heels, hats, and earrings. Malibu Arcee, Prom Queen Arcee, Dream Date Arcee, Street Whore Arcee...
