well, i went to a target close to me and they had alts clearanced to 10.88... i bought them all and now they aren't carrying them anymore... they took away the space that had "TRANSF ALT 19.99" from the shelf... so who knows.

At least they clearenced them. When Target dumped He-man and Armada where I'm at, they just disappeared. period no sale, clearence, nothing.

Luckily TRU and Kmart had a different Idea and I walked away with Man-e-faces and Tidelwave.

I agree.  If they're going to do 3 versions of each mode (as swerve suggests), I think Prowl would have been the best choice for the WRX.

If the Alt line ends with just cars being done and no trucks/SUVs/Planes etc......it will be the epitomy of wasted potential.  I once said 'a disappointment' but after thinking awhile, I don't think it is possible to be disappointed by Alts.

 

Alts were almost more of a Fan gift than the Reissues were.  The only reason I say so is that the Reissues could still be largely played with by kids(although a challenge on the pocket book) where as Alts were predominantly an adult toy beceause of the more complex transformation.  I'm not making a sweeping comment there and saying 'entirely' an adult toy.

 

Please Hastak,...don't end the Alt/Bin line having only done cars(and a couple jeeps).  It could be so much more.

The least they could have done was give Prowl a similar transformation to the Subaru, in the same way Meister's RX-8 has. Becuase the Acura itself looks fine as Prowl, infact it's generally closer to G1 (though unlike the Impreza WRX I've never seen it as a Japanese police car). They really should be saving new molds for those who need them, especially considering how many they've skipped after Overdrive.

 

Funny, normally it's the fans that need to be reminded that new molds are expensive and shoudln't be used frivolously on inane choices. I also recall a number of people complaining that the Mazda's torso and limbs were too similar to the Subaru's. Imagine the uproar if Meister ended up looking like Prowl.  :wtf

i wilkl always beleive that the alt line was a service to both model car collectors and TFans so the idea that it goes into planes is rediculous

That only means that they aren't selling in your area. Each store is responsible for managing its own inventory. I can tell you that the Alts are definitely not going for 10.88 at my Target... unfortunately.
