Well we can only hope, besides there are some members who dont mind keeping the discussion going, if you have a problem with that, then dont read or reply to the topic.

First of all, I want one as bad as the rest of us... which is why I get tired of constantly seeing topics about one, only to open it up and see yet another "what if..." thread. :roll

 

And secondly, just incase you didn't read the "fine print"...

I'm not against the idea, I'm just tired of the same "Masterpiece Megs should be a tank... No, he should be a gun... No, it will be Beast Megs!" Thread every damn week.

That's the one. Not 100% amazing, but good enough IMHO for any custom. The general feel of the design is spot on, though, IMHO.

meagtron will always be a problem cos he makes a gun and his nemesis makes a truck nuff said

I don't really like the idea of MP Megatron as anything other than a handgun. I think Megatron would make a great Desert Eagle .50. The Walther P38 that Megatron originally transformed into was at least close to 1:1 scale, and making a Masterpiece Megatron out of a Walther P38 would just be dwarfed by MP Optimus Prime.

 

If this isn't feasible, even for the Japanese market, there are other figures that would make fantastic Masterpiece figures:

 

Decepticons:

 

1. Starscream--If not Megatron, Starscream!

2. Soundwave--Scaled up to the size of a regular cassette player as opposed to a mini-cassette player. Would include actual cassette sized Laserbeak, Ravage and Rumble.

3. Galvatron--If you are going to skip out on Megatron, why not just do Galvatron proper. Would make a great Masterpiece figure.

 

Autobots:

 

1. Optimus Prime's Trailer--I shouldn't have to explain this.

2. Grimlock--I can just imagine a Masterpiece sized T-Rex.

Megatron hasn't been a gun in a long time. Not many people seem to have troubles with Dino-Megs or Spaceship-Megs.

Soundwave and Grimlock are excellent ideas... I love the idea of a standard cassette sized group of minions... that would make a Masterpiece Soundwave worth the $100+ easily! :thumb
