Okay... First my understanding was that Takara was putting out a slightly altered G2 Hero Megs in the same ol' colors... With Prime's head. Weird, but I could deal with a Tank Convoy. Then I hear that it's a 50-50 chance of it being a surprise Megs or Prime head. Erm... sounds completely stupid to do that, but hey it's still a great figure and I suppose I could deal with either one being on there.

 

Now my understanding is that this figure has BOTH Prime and Megs heads which are interchangable. So... I gotta wonder... who's takara's crack dealer and how do we cut off their supply while at the same time providing rehab for the obviously "high as a kite" designers?

 

Honestly, as figures go I've nothing against this lovely mold, but I don't understand what the hell kind of idea spawned this thang. Is it Prime going undercover... with a new body? Is it Megatron trying to sneak into the Autobot ranks... in a tank based body? Is it neither, but a frothing mad cybertronian that invades both camps and steals all their cookies?!? What?!?! Dear Primus WTF is with this thing??? I MUST KNOW!!!

Maybe it's the Robotmasters version of G1 Counterpunch, or A. Sideways?

Maybe, prime is living a double life, because he doesn't like being good all the time, or to get some payback when one of his troops doesn't give him his money after poker. I guess with the whole megs on the ship thing, that megs was prime dressed as megs, yet the real megs was already on earth going wtf where are my troops......

 

The thing that makes me wonder is, are the autobots that stupid???

their motives are unknown for the 2 heads but lets face it, most are going to keep megs head on it

Robotmasters has quite an intricate and interesting storyline going on for those that are following it. I think a spy Megs\Convoy is a great idea and it would be interesting to see what happens if the toy is Megatron and Beast Megatron meets his G! progenitor.

Intricate? :redface Seems more like a line based off of masturbatory fanboy impulse from what I can see. :P While better than Universe in many ways, this line makes me wonder.

 

But if you know something I don't about this thing, I'd rather like to hear it. Considering this Megs has a interchangable Prime head, I'm confident that this is not the Megs of lore and unless Takara's looking to completely bastardize the BW Megatron character he will pick up on this quicker than possibly anyone else and hopefully scrap him for it.
