Keeping TF boxes

Recommended Posts

I keep a few of the larger Energon ones (Megatron, Unicron) simply because, sooner or later, I've gotta move out, and I need boxes to move all that stuff in.

My Alt/Binaltech, MP-01 and Reissue boxes are very limited in number, so they're not much trouble to keep around. All the rest of the packaging gets tossed.

I too have been keeping the reissue boxes; twist ties and all(I have a small ziplock bag of ties from MP-01 :tfevil ). I don't know why I keep the Takara boxes, I can't read Japanese! Oh well, I guess it could be some sort of minor case of obsessive compulsive disorder :thumb .

my reasons for keeping boxes:

A) makes the toy more valuable, plus have a space for uneeded accessories to be put in. IE Galaxy force force chips, instructions, extra missiles, etc.

B) when you move out of your place, theres no better place than to put them in their original packaging

C) when your tired of the toy, or making room for others, putting them back in the box can save space.

haha, i even keep the bubble on the deluxe Armada's and RID's i have, just in case for the future.

I keep everything, makes it slightly easier to sell or trade in the future.

I keep the Takara TFC boxes. The book-style packaging's just too cool to throw out. I also have my BT and RM boxes but I'm contemplating on throwing out my RM boxes except for RM-10 Prime w/ DVD.

Its insanity to throw TF/C's boxes away IMO.... :tflaugh The boxes are part of the reason y i like this line so much....

And back to topic, yes i do keep all boxes, but i throw those carded ones away together with the bubble....

This is a subject I'm actually somewhat torn on as well. The boxes are, although very cool, ver space consuming as well.

So, would it be, let's say...a good idea if, when, you decide to get rid of your boxes to, instead of just throwing them out, a better idea to buy non-boxed duplicates and resell them as toys with your old boxes for more money while freeing up space?

or how about this idea, flat the boxes to save space, toss away the plastic inside, that way you still kinda have the box and saved space.....but i have some with styrofoam style packaing >:tfmad

the carded RID and armada i might throw away, but not the takra ones. The takara style cards are cool, where you can re-use the package again via plastic-card inserts, unlike the carded ones ><

I keep all boxes and cards, but throw out the plastic bubbles, plastic inside boxes usually, and I toss the twisties, which they use way too many of in my opinion.

Right now I keep boxes, cards with bubbles and all that.

It is taking up a lot of space so I may have to throw it away soon. Shame.
