Pure scratch-building is in quite a whole other league from repaint/minor remolds, depending on one's talents. My guess is he wants to stick with repaints long before doing a big brain-racking project like designing a scratchbuild (I know ones even based directly off of simple TFs are tough enough).

I would agree. People may view it as simple repaints but they are anything but simple. Some of us aren't as gifted as others.

The guy even says he planed on doing kitbashes using existing Alts in his first post.....

yup, no custom ones where I take a model and re-tool an alt to make it fit... that's long in the future... just strictly repaints for the most part.

Someone should do a Whirl out of Bulkhead. Colors are like Springer, but the transformation/body type is more like Whirl. Don't know where that came from, it's not an Alternator, but I was just thinking of stuff we haven't seen yet
