World's Biggest Action Figure & Playset?

Recommended Posts

well, save for those inflatable, umm, "barbies" at that, umm, "toy store" down the street.  i guess those are "Action figures", he he.

That was the funniest thing I have read in a while :lol

So the Flagg is the largest Playset and a jumbo Megazord would probably be the largest action figure right? At least Fort Max is the largest Transformer made, besides this guy...

Sweet Geebus.. that thing totally dwarfs Max.. what is it?

For TFans it's the Fortress Maximus, Brave Maximus, and Grand Maximus toy. He's a pretty big action figure at 21.5" tall. Us TFans have nothing on the GI Joe guys as far as playsets go. The USS Flagg (if you can remember that far back) was nothing short of incredible. It is 2.5' wide, 3.5' tall and close to 6' long. People have stated it's weight in the 35-40 lb range. I might be off on the figures... if somebody could ship me one I will measure it myself :tfgrin Anyway, my question is this - is the U.S.S. Flagg the largest playset and Fortress Maximus the largest "action figure" sold in stores? What do you think?

No kidding Bizz. The U.S.S. Flagg was the baddest ass playset ever! It kicks some serious butt. I only knew 1 kid that had one.

Yep, when I saw the title of this thread I was like "that thing is 6 feet long."

Awesome!

I remember seeing the USS flag on display when I was young. Selling for 189.95 Canadian if I remember correct. It was the most incredible thing I had ever seen until I saw boobs. There's a loading ramp on one side for helecopters that drops to a lower deck for storage.

:rofl

Not that these were so hard to find, but they definitely fit in this thread.

here's a collage of the Museum Gundam...

..and this one is just plain cool...could (TF2006 spawn a live action Gundam film?)

The MSRP list I have for Joes shows that the USS Flagg was $89 while the Defiant was $99. It doesn't make sense when you think about size, but comparing the two toys, I like the Defiant much, much better.

The Flagg is a massive thing to see and as such a great conversation piece, but imo the Defiant has a lot more real features. I love the thing, but a large part of the Flagg is pretty much just a flat board. It probably also helps that the Defiant came with two figures instead of one.

Those Gundam images are amazing. Thanks a lot for showing them, splendic. While I was reading the thread I was searching hard for images. I guess I should have waited until I finished reading. :)

Is that giant Gundam next to the building freestanding or do they attach some sort of support cables? I don't see any. It would be a shame if that thing fell. Whose job is it to pose it? Man...I'd love to see it in person.

Dreamworks or Paramount....whoever is in charge of promotion of the Transformers Live Action Movie should think about making a huge Optimus to get word of mouth and media coverage going. That would be great.

Ok, you're stealing my *secret* idea for a TF Theme park & museum. All I need is tens of million of dollars and a good architect. Any takers on the money part?

BTW here's a pic of the Defiant. I forgot how big it was :eek

OOps!...I probably shoul have said it in my last post. That last Gundam is a Photoshop.

...and I totally agree with the giant Optimus idea. In fact, it's so logical, I wouldn't be surpised to see one pop up in Times Square or Tokyo a couple months before the movie.

So the "full size" Gundam is just the bust and the Zaku head? I'm not flying to Japan for that :tdown

STOP STEALING MY IDEAS!!! There will be a life-size Prime statue outside the TF Museum I'm planning... plus a different parking lot for the diehard BW fans. The G1 fans parking lot will have real cars painted like our favorite characters. A Yellow VW Bug, a 280Z cop car... a red flat nose tractor trailer... the BEST part is - Hasbro can't sue me for painting a car a certain color and parking it in a parking lot :clap

Chick -> "Hey Baby, where did you park?"

Dude -> "Next to the blue Corvette with the Autobot symbol on it"

I actually had a lucid dream 3 nights ago that I was at a car show, and there was a huge TF-style section...and ALL of them were there. It was awesome. The deisgns and craftsmanship were top notch. It was kinda weird though because I'm into TF's and all...but I haven't had many dreams about them! :wtf
