Geez, that's just a quick, knocked up poster to promote the fact that there's an upcoming movie in the works.

It's just there as "Transformers: The Movie" to differentiate it from "Transformers: The Cartoon" or "Transformers: The Toy Line".

What did you want the poster to say?

COMING SOON: A MOVIE ABOUT TRANSFORMERS perhaps?

Or COMING SOON: TRANSFORMERS - at which point everyone says, eh? Haven't they been around for 20 years or so?

Take out the movie part and the poster would say nothing to the uninitiated.

Don't read so much into things.

gEEZ, IT'S JUST UP to SPARK SOME CONVERSATION

dON'T READ TOO MUCH INTO IT. :tftongue

And the argument against TF:TM vs. TF:TM... how many comic book fans confused last year's "The Punisher" with "The Punisher" from the '80's, with Dolph Lungden? (sp?)  Same deal.  True fans know about both movies, but the general public has most likely forgotten the first one.  And the fans should know the difference.  :thumb

:pfx

:pfx The worst thing they could do is call it Transformers Armada The movie. Though wouldn't be surprised if that did happen in the next ten to fifteen years. :tflaugh
