"Code of a Hero"

Recommended Posts

The only problem I ever had with the BW toys was they are so fragile and many of the beast modes were bricks. I'm one of the few people that liked the BM toys though.

BW is still my favorite on both counts.

Code of Hero is one of the best episodes in the series, but I like the Agenda, Bad Spark, and Dark Designs better.

but try and stay on topic everyone... we're talking about the episode "Code of Hero" and even the show in general..

I'm just excited that OPP started a topic about BW at all.

one of us.... one of us..... :mwahaha

BW was edgy, funny, entertaining, and just really well-written. A great kids' show (and I mean that as a compliment). And "Code of Hero" was a fantastic episode.

I never really liked the original (96-97) BW toys because the animal skin thing *does* kinda gross me out a bit. (I *do* have Rhinox though...) But the 98-99 toys all had more of a cybernetic look to them, which was fine with me. As a matter of fact, I would stack the Transmetals BW toys up against any TF line ever. I think they are the "animal" equivalent of the RiD Autobots, quality-wise.

BTW OPP if you hate the BW toys you're really gonna hate BM...

I think my issues w/ the BW/BM toys is that many of their transformations remind me of E-Battle Ravage and Cruellock.

BTW, why is it that anyone that doesn't like anything about Beast Wars automatically is a GeeWun purist? I'm so sick of the "Beast Wars saved Transfomers" line too. OK, rant over.

Yeah, there certainly are some like that. But it's that way with every line -- there are figures with unimaginative transformations, and they're usually the smaller ones. Go get yourself a TM2 Megatron or Depth Charge or TM Rattrap or BM Rattrap or TM2 Blackarachnia etc. etc. and you'll see that they're actually pretty complex, kick-butt figures.

I think that on one level that statement is true, though. However, I do disagree with it being used as a way to "prove" that BW is better than G1 or whatever. But the fact remains that BW reinvented and reinvigorated the Transformers brand, and brought it back to a level of popularity not seen since the glory days of G1. And I say that without trying to make a point about the relative worthiness of the different TF toy lines. It's just true.

Personally, BW/BM has totally changed (sorry but I'm not going to say "transformed") my outlook on the TF brand. Vehicular TFs are now getting boring to me. The only ones I care about any more are the Alternators (since 1. they ARE awesome, and 2. I can't afford to re-purchase my original G1 collection) and a few bits and pieces from other lines.

To me, story and characters are what make something appealing. Toys by themselves have little appeal to me anymore. And it is because I loved the stories in BW and BM so much that I love the toys. However, this doesn't mean that I buy lame toys because the characters are cool. I'm not a completist, and I only have the toys that I also happen to like as toys. I just find more of a "reason" to buy something when it means something to me on a personal level.

Loved "Code of Hero".

Also I really enjoyed the BW show, and I did enjoy the BM show as well, despite whatever inconsistencies between one show and the other arised. :tftongue

I enjoy many of the shows and many of the toy lines, and think that people can like or dislike what they want, in part or in whole, tv show or toyline, to whatever extent that is.

Buy, play, pose and watch whatever you feel like people! It's a kick arse hobbie for all to enjoy!

I am a happy soul to be part of the TF universe! :thumb

I loved that episode

Code of Hero was absolutely the best transformer episode ever.

Code of Hero was absolutely the best transformer episode ever.

Second best. "Child's Play" is the best EVAR.

Okay okay... My favorite TF episode ever is "Endgame III: Seeds of the Future". :thumb :D
