Tracks is definately the Alt I've seen the least on the shelves (only saw him on three occasions - I've already seen Windcharger about eight or nine times).

 

I remember noticing in the upcoming Alt case assortments back in August/September that Tracks was only going to ship once - and wondered then if he'd be hard to find. Looks like that was the case.

tracks is the worst alternator so the lack of demand doesn't bug me.

those legs are awful and the arms look like something out of armada.

grimlock was the money for me.

but i've only seen tracks once and it's the one i've got.

the joints are either too loose or too tight.

transforming him is quite the little pain.

his joints are way too tight, so i loosend them, they got tight again, he's annoying to trasnform, so i leave him in robot mode, fixing his legs into the hood of the car and trying to find those tiny pegs are impossible,

 

for these reasons i dont think im gonna get ravage,

Ouch.

 

Considering the large number of mid-2004 Alt cases that appeared at the end of 2004, my guess is that the Tracks/Meister shipment could make a reappearance.

 

However, even if he is completely sold out, I'm surprised that an Alt version is selling for that much money when the BT version can still be had for around $40.

I said this in `seen it on ebay` so will repeat it here ;)

 

With the emergence of the new red tracks (swerve) I summise the disapearance of Tracks is a marketing strategy. Tracks vanishes, hence customers want him more and there is a void to be filled, thus appears Swerve and everyone grabs it not caring that it is a straight repaint. Once sales of that one are waning Tracks will re-appear on the shelves and everyone will grab that one too, people cant complain then as he has already been released. Its not a totally stupid way of diffusing the repaint anoyance factor

 

I think we will see them as shelf warmers in 6 months

Wow ... thank goodness I have a few. I've probably seen a dozen Tracks in my days, all before Christmas.

 

And I hope no one is bidding on that as a mint box because there's a clear wave where the box was smushed around the second R in "Transformers."
