if the music from the old movie is to be used it should at least be updated

(the touch....OMG what was i thinking?)

*sigh* Eugene Levy has done a lot more than just "American Pie"... Not that I disagree with you or anything.

So has Jason Biggs... but even according to himself (in Jay and Silent Bob strike back) he's still known as "Pie-F**ker". :tflaugh

Just like Mark Hammill is still to this day known as Luke Skywalker, And Harrison Ford is either Han Solo or Indiana Jones, even though he's had a ton of other great movies. Hell, Slash has been in like 5 different bands since G 'n' R, but he's still "Slash from Guns And Roses"... The list goes on... Patrick Stewart is Picard, Bill Shatner is Kirk... and do you think Elisha Wood or Orlando Bloom will EVER escape being known as Frodo and Legolas? Actors (and musicians) always have a hard time escaping thier most well known work...

Which is why nearly every Bill Cosby impersonation includes something about a Jello Pudding Pop! :thumb :tfevil

Oh man, you're making me cry. Eugene Levy is a frickin' genius who's been around for like thirty years. Maybe all the kids whose balls just dropped only know him from American Pie (or *shudder* "Bringing Down The House" or *double shudder* "New York Minute*) but.... uggh. I mean, that's like saying "oh yeah, I know Bill Murray! He's that guy who did the voice for 'Garfield'!"

Can't argue with the fact that Levy is a genius. It's his 'typical suburban white guy' persona that made him so perfect for American Pie, and also why he's about the only thing I found truly humorous in 'Bringing Down the House'. And thanks to that, I was actually shocked when I paid attention to the credits in 'Heavy Metal' for the first time and saw some of the characters he voiced.

Oh, and speaking of Slash.... am I the only one who cringes in horror at the invasion of 80's hair band riffs in otherwise alternative/nu-metal type of music? I swear, listening to 'Fall to Pieces' is excruciating. That song is killer, but then Slash sticks his solos in there, they belong in 'Sweet Child O Mine', not in a song that otherwise sounds like STP all over again.... :puke

Just my little off-topic rant of the day....

Yeha I see what you say but I don't agree with it...because the point of Velvet Revolver was to have both STP and GnR styles in the songs. I personally love VR, but I can see why you would feel that way.

Good god GZ, you're completely right...hahhaa...

There is no hope for either of them really seriously getting back on track too.

Scene from TF THE MOVIE 2006

Optimus PRIME drives along the dark highway. SPIKE is sitting next to CARLY in the cab. As the vast stretches succumb to Prime's wheels, he absently cruises through the Earthen Radio waves looking for information on the wherabouts of the decepticons. As the various radio stations skip by, Spikes hand slowly makes its way up Carly's leg, and up to her thigh.

CARLY: giggle

RADIO: (Suddenly Blaring) YOU'VE GOT THE TOUCH YOU'VE GOT THE POWER!!! YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!

Spike suddenly sits back in his seat hands in his lap. He reaches out and quickly turns the radio OFF

SPIKE: I think silence is good.

PRIME: I liked that song...

The three continue to drive in silence.........
