Hello ,

I have hear some you talk about why walmart will no longer carry Alternators and the Universe. Well I talk to my sister -in-law . She works for walmart as a department magner. What going on is hasbro want the toys to be sold at their price and walmart is saying no we are going to sell them at a lower price to take all the other stores customers. Hasbro can not make walmart sell the toys at Hasbro retaint price. Hasbor can not sue , all they can do is stop selling the toys to walmart, toys are not the only thing walmart doing that on , The new i-pod from micsoft and some new sony hd tv. Are all so going to get pulled from walmart shelfs. Walmart is cutting their own thoats. Oh by the way she hear from her area manger that hasbor may pull all the Energon toys here soon. Walmart will not be able to sell any tf line every. Just thought I let you all know

OUCH.

HA! thats what you get Walmart!

Not really this will only hurt the manufacturers and suspect they will soon relent. Walmarts huge buying power may not please other retailers but if Hasbro, Sony etc lose the huge amounts that Walmart buy they will ahve to recoup the profit elsewhere, ie higher prices elsewhere.

Aside from which I am more than positive there are Laws that prevent manufacturers from witholding supplies from buyers, there are in the UK at least as this is artificial price fixing.

I suspect they may come of worse in witholding stock from Walmart as they have such diversity it doesnt really matter to their bottom line.

Wal-Mart did it to themselves. If the toy companies do not want to sell their products at Wal-Mart that's fine. There's always Target, K-Mart, TRU, KB Toys, Meijer's, and several other places to get their products.

I won't flinch one bit if Transformers were no longer available at Wal-Mart. Afterall, I haven't bought a TF at Wal-Mart in months, I've bought all my TFs at Target.

Oh that is B.S.! Wal-Mart is the ONLY....the O N L Y place in my town that I can buy TF's....we don't have a friggin Target/Kmart/TRU/KB/Meijers/Costco....now the only place that I can buy TFs.....wont be selling TFs anymore???!!!!???!?!??!!! F**K that!

man and I remember last year when Walmart was going to be THE TF store...had the special displays and everything...perhaps Target can get the slack?

(mind you, Walmart presently has Alts on clearance, Hound and silver streak at 9.95)

Yeah...YOU might not flinch, but some other people only have a Walmart to go to to get TF's (besides the INTERNET which is always overpriced). I personally have a lot of stores to shop from also, but Walmart usually has the best selection, and who doesn't love lower prices?

I don't really understand why Hasbro cares if they sell the toys at lower prices. Is it because other corporate buyers are putting pressure on Hasbro to put pressure on Walmart?

I generally like target better anyways, but for you guys who only have a Walmart this could suck.

Buffalo feces.

Wal*Mart is continuing to carry all lines by Hasbro, including Alternators and what there is of Universe (which is seriously being downsized all around due to lack of overall sales).
