I have to agree. I mean, look at how long it took Hasbro to announce who got the Convention and Club license.

IMO, it is too early and this fandom is gullible at the moment because so many people WANT information on the future of Transformers Comics.

I don't know much about comic book publishers beyond those involved with TF's. I just hope they do a good job. And if there is the posibilty they will continue where DW left, even better. :thumb But I am still skeptic at this point, because I know how the industry works and I always expect the worst, so rather wait and pray it all turns out good.

I'm not sure where they got this info. Maybe the Rumor Fairy that seeds Seibertron.com? Regardless, it's not true. Hasbro still has several offers on the table to go over. Internally, they don't have a favorite choice yet either.

Reports are preliminary and I'm working to get confirmation but it seems that DEVIL's DUE may have obtained the TF license.

early reports are that they MAY release the unreleased DW issues and MAY continue the storyline with DreamEngine as an affiliate of some sort.

I should have bet Money..........big Money

From Lying in the Gutters

(WARNING: SPOILER FOR GI JOE IN ABOVE LINK)

But some may see this all a side project. Because Devil's Due has also landed the license to publish "Transformers" from Hasbro. The ink is dry. This is the second time they have tried for it, and Dreamwave's blunder paid off for them with Hasbro, who seems to be happy that both of their major toyline licensees will remain under one roof as they did with Marvel. It's unknown about creative teams, but the word is that Josh Blaylock will be writing the main TF book and current Joe artist Tim Seeley will be doing the art.

Info on GI. Joe:

the current "G.I. Joe" book is being cancelled at #45 - not 42 or 43. However, from issues 43-up, although Brandon Jerwa is credited as writer, publisher Josh Blaylock is guiding the series in a very hands on fashion. Which is why the books may start not resembling their solicitations quite as much...

(SPOILER: Swipe for info: There will be a major character death before the cancellation - a female COBRA agent. )

"G.I. Joe: Reloaded" is still going to be cancelled in mid-run.

But the decision to go to a new continuity has been scrapped. The new #1 will, however, not be led by the previous continuity. The new team, led by General Rey, will be small in number and all wear standard uniforms. Joe Casey is still the writer, and artists such as Stefano Caselli, Guido Guidi and Igor Kordey are being considered.

Both stories have an AMBER rating which signifies an identifiable agenda/slant or bias in the source that may affect the work, or that the source isn't clear, or another factor that might bring the piece into doubt.

Usually, it means it's basically true but not officially confirmed.

hmm

[notice the quotation marks]

"This is BS. I have it from a VERY SOLID source that the TF license is still up for grabs. I find it dispicable if Devil's Due is spreading these rumors to try and scare away other perspective bidders. It's just downright dishonest!"

Interesting. If these rumors are in fact circulating from Devils Due than I would not like them to even breathe on a cover of Transformers. Antics like this remind me much of Dreamwave's complete dishonesty about the status of their company and lack of paying anywhere near $40,000 to their employees/freelancers.

If they're not coming from DD then whoever is spreading all this needs to realize that the license is still up in the air.

Personally i've been disregarding all these rumors as either someone's rampant wishings of what they want for the TF comic or just someone completely misunderstanding what someone else has commented on.

But i guess we'll see soon enough

You've posted this accusation in at least three forums now Josh. You really need to post proof of this before you continue on with it, out of common courtesy if nothing else.

The stuff in italics and quotation marks are what was said by someone else a lot closer to the situation than other people would like to believe or know

ive never once stated i was a DW employee nor said that the rumors came straight from DD

all that was said were "ifs"

but i understand

i just dont want people to take rumors as facts or news when everything is still up in the air. No harm meant to anybody
