Sides, you try to be optimistic when you just know that you'll have to watch a Dutch dub on TV. And trust me, those are FAR worse then anything Voicebox could ever do. :puke

Very true indeed. The Dutch dub is awful.

Naturally I will reserve judgement untill I have seen it but Beast Wars was kick ass. And of course I keep in mind that Beast Wars was made with a minial budget (which is why there were no shades) and in 1996 so I prefer those animations over Finding Nemo or Shrek.

As for the story, Beast Wars was tied into G1 so that will always be the best Transformers for me. :tftongue

And unless Megatron decides to kill all humans he will not be the evilest Megatron. Afterall Beast Wars Megatron did want to kill all the prehistoric humans.

She'd kick Alexis' ass. :lol

I see they still have the breast problem though. :tflaugh :tflaugh

Are you referring to the lack of said breast?

I saw an animated clip of SS evading some missiles, and it sure blew away any BW animation I ever saw...think FinalFantasy cut scenes

He tried that in both Armada and Energon. In Armada, he attempted to destroy Earth and everyone on it with the Hydra Cannon just to piss off Optimus Prime. And in Energon, he tries to crash a bunch of comets into Earth to anihilate the entire populace, human and Autobot alike, so he can take all the energon unopposed.

And I love Armada, Energon, and Cybertron because in addition to having the best damn stories and characters TF has ever saw, they dismiss G1 altogether.

yea, but as you seid he had his reasons Megs/Galvs didn't wake up one day and say "Im just gonna kill al the Humans for craps and Giggles." Pluse, in SL he was under the control of Unicron.

Great vids, thanks for posting. :thumb

First off I really enjoyed the Armada serries , and felt the scripting in Energon was a real step back where as story/character took the back seat to more fights /explosions. Of course I only saw up to ep 7 but it was obvious that's where the serries was going. I also thought some of the CGI/.cell shaded work was atrocious especially with Alpha Q, Cyclonus, and transformation sequences. Thiat said the year is now 2005 six months prior to the AMerican release of Galaxy Force/Cybertron. First impressions from the clips provided is that many of the animation flaws of the CGI/cell shaded world of Energon have been rectified. The detail work is astounding, and the transformations aren't split second but in stages like the toys, and body, mouth movement has been greatly improved though I don't agree with Prime having a mouth. I am hopefull the dubbing doesn't get butchered and the translation works out.

As far as the tone, with both Megatron/Starscream looking pure evil and residing in what looks to be a cross between JRR Tolkiens Mordor and hell I think it's safe to say we're not in Armada/Energon territory anymore. Lastly in reguards to the human characters, never really had a problem with em, and despite the earliest Armada Eps they eventially took a back seat as the fighting between the Autobot/Decepticon factions escalated. I'm going to remain optimistic about this new serries, and researve judgement after it is released. Personally for me it's more about the toys, the cartoons if done right are a bonus if anything. :clap

No wonder there are so few Destrons. Starscream and Master Megatron pwned the Cybertrons alone. :eek

heh, it is about time the decepticons don't always run with their tales between their legs. This series is looking good, the CG seems to be rendered per scene not like energon that looked to repeat stuff. but then again it is the first ep and like some anime the quality changed depending on which episode it is. (normally first few and last few are the best quality), which some people blame on more then one studio making it. BUT I hope it isn't the case with this :)
