Galaxy Force Cartoon Debuts in Japan

Recommended Posts

Animation looks to be very strong in GF/Cybertron, much stronger than the first episodes in the previous two shows.

And Megatron IS huge this!!! :eek :eek

And the show explains why he has a wheelstick and horns as weapons. :eek That guy really gives off a Sith vibe, ESPECIALLY at what he did with Convoy and Backpack!

And of course the fact that he's so cool makes it more disappointing that the toy is, well, retarded. *Sigh*

Let's hope that the translation works out better for our American version this time. I hope Cybertron is a big hit.

Just watched the clips.... :eek My god. That show appears to rock. :clap

BTW, did I see Red alert on the screen???

The character is called Fast Aid (nice name) if I recall correctly.

But it would be nice if he returned. I mean, Red alert and Scavenger were Optimus Prime's closest friends. It did not make ANY sense for them not to be in Energon. They could easily have made appereances as secondary characters.

As far as Galaxy Force, so far the Animation does not look as good as Beast Wars which had excellent CGI. There the Transformers looked a bit shiney (especially the transmetals) which really rocked.

But perhaps it looks better on DVD, afterall Beast Wars did. And even if it has better CG1, it will never have a better storyline.

And best part of Beast Wars :clap NO HEW-MONS :clap By Primus do I HATE humans. "Oooh, yes indeed." Kicker was actually bearable but he still had that ever present human arrogance.

I can still hear him say to Optimus Prime: "This is my planet! You have no right to be here!" Had I been Optimus I would have shouted at him "Your planet? No right? You humans share this planet will millions of other life forms. Yet you treat this planet as if you are the only ones living here. You pollute your own home to an extent that in 150 years it will no longer habitable. What right do you have to that!?"

One thing I learned is that humans are arrogant and that they always know best. That is why so many robot shows feature humans controlling the robots and why Transformers must forever be pestered by humans.

It is not because the show has to appeal to kids even though that seems like a plausible reason. Beast Wars was a HUGE hit and that did not have any kids.

Anyways, I would have liked a bit of humor such as Beast Wars had. Inferno calling Megatron Queen, hilarious! The same goes for Waspinator who was a one-robot comedy show.

And despite the comedy bits, Beast Wars was still a show with the darkest episodes seen ever. Who could forget Code Of Honor. Even when Dinobot was dying he still made a wisecrack and a suitable one at that.

As for the comment of Megatron being more evil. Well duh! :wtf He looks like a clown with those colors. And we all know that clowns are evil. (Except for Krusty The Clown and Bassie, who is a Dutch clown.)

But, this isn't Beast Wars. It's Galaxy Force and Cybertron. There are humans and there are very few animal alt modes. The animation is better than BW. The storyline just may be better too. I'll reserve judgement on that until the time when I can understand what they're saying.

I think you can better get the subs then, since all of us know they'll butcher the dub. :tfsad

Probably, but I'll wait and see. I'd like to be a little more optimistic about it. I wouldn't be much of a fan if I doomed the series from the get go. It looks like the "I hate any new Transformers show" bandwagon has returned. :tdown

Hey, from what I've seen I liked GF and I AM optimistic about it, but I don't have a good feeling about this. Oh well, maybe they'll make use of those extra 6 months, but who knows.

Sides, you try to be optimistic when you just know that you'll have to watch a Dutch dub on TV. And trust me, those are FAR worse then anything Voicebox could ever do. :puke

:tflaugh1 I've got plenty to be thankful for, huh? :thumb

Ooooooooh yeah. At least Voicebox isn't plagued by the terror named "audible page turning". :tflaugh :tflaugh :tflaugh
