First Look - Alternator Honda S2000 Windcharger

Recommended Posts

Some gripes about Windcharger:

1) You can't transform him without taking off the piece of raised backseat. You can't fit the canopy onto the vehicle without removing that piece either.

2) His side view looks horribly thin and flat. (I'm quite surprised that none of the photographs I found online show his side view)

3) He has one of the worst articulation in the Alternators series as far as I know. His legs can't be bent to 90 degrees at the knee joints. His arms cannot be raised without moving the shoulder piece.

4) The canopy looks too small to be a shield.

5) His head is too small for his tall built, especially if you look at it from the side. Also, his face sculpt has nothing to be excited about compared to Grimlock and Meister.

All in all, this toy looks better in the photographs (esp. those of Toynews Internation :P) than the real thing.

The box with the toy pic on the front is the European version.

Seems odd they would have different box graphics?! The one with the toy pic just looks stupid! Hope NZ gets the non european one.

Right. You can tell them apart by the European box having six instead of three languages and lacking the numer (10) and the transformers.com address.

Yeah, you can (although the instructions say to do otherwise).

Well, my bad. Actually, you can transform him without removing that piece. However, you can only raise his arm to 45 degrees if that piece is not taken out. If it is taken up, the arm can be raised up to 90 degrees. :tflaugh1
