I'll agree, it is pretty evil to specifically single out all the sentient creatures just so you can individually boil them in acid, but I don't know if Unicron even had any control over that. After all, I can hardly be to blame for having stomach acid, or instestines, nor can I control my own digestive processes. I would blame whoever built him for that little design oddity.

By the by, I might be in the minority here, but as hideous as that Unicron proto was, if they ever reissued it I would HAVE to have one :tftongue

BTW BWNeo Unicron IS G1 Unicron, after blowing up his essance went to the Planet Geae, and becam the super powerful Algamanus Energy, after BWII it was spread across the Galaxy and in BW Neo Cybertrons, Destrons, and Unicrons Shocktrupers the Blendtrons have to race to get them. The series ends with Unicron posesing Cybertron via Vecter Sigma(I guess he did "Do it himself") and was stoped when Big Convoy used his Matrix to power up his Big Cannon to the Matrix Blaster.

I have to say i never liked the "Dark God" Unicron of the comics ( i always felt it never fitted with a sci-fi story like Transformers ) nor did i like the cartoons explanation ( he's a bloody big robot, which is a bit too easy an explanation ).

Unicron said he had considered sparing cybertron and he didn't strike me as the type to bother with lying, so that shoots the Unicron/Primus story in the foot, it always did. Unicron also refered to having a destiny so his motives were never clear.

I've always liked the idea of Unicron being the original birthplace of all of TFs mechanical races, i'd go into more detail but the next thing i know i'll start writing a fan-fiction detailing his origins in this post and i don't really want to do that.

Unicron is probably a little bit above "Evil" and simply, ( like Galactus ) is.

I don't understand what you mean when Unicron says "I considered sparing your planet..." meant it shot the Primus storyline. How so? I bet money that Unicron was just lying out of his ass? Why would he spare Cybertron, even if it was his enemy Primus?

I for one have always liked the idea of Unicron being the "devil". Primus could always create new TFs from nothingness but Unicron has to take that which is already created and twist it into what he wants. There is a reason that the almighty Unicron did fear the Matrix!

I just appreciate the storyline from the comics as opposed to the weaker story suggested by the movie. The movie had a lot of holes in it, I still love it but they could've written it better.

In the Movie, Unicron didn't call Cybertron Primus, was completely strightforward with Megatron from the moment they met, even telling him that the matrix is his weakness. This suggests he was possibly the biggest berk in existance in telling a traitorous creature like Megatron his one weakness, or that he considered Megatron was of no threat to him at all. Unicron didn't even pause for thought when he attacked Cybertron and its fearsome warrior race, they were nothing to him.

As i said before, I was never satisfied with the cartoons or the comics origin stories, and while the movie has unaswered questions ( i.e. plotholes ), it's filling the gaps ( like Unicrons link to the matrix, why only HotRod can use it, is it destiny or is it a sort of robot-gentic code that others, even one or two decepticons might have ? ) that can make a story interesting.

One thing you always have to remember about bad guys is, they are usually incredibly arrogant, and fatally cocky. That is to say, Unicron did not fear Megatron, or Galvatron, because he was SOOO much more powerful than either, they were beneath his notice. And even should he obtain the Matrix, he couldn't use it, and Unicron knew that. Unicron felt that his superior might and intelligence would be all he needed, the only thing he really had to worry about was getting the Matrix out of the hands of the only beings that could use it effectively, the Autobots.

Unicron's only real mistake in that movie was swallowing Galvatron with the Matrix, as it allowed Hot Rod the opportunity to grab and open the Matrix.

As for him saying he was considering sparing Cybertron, He's a cocky bad guy. Things like "someone might beat me," "I have to watch out for the little guy coming up behind me," "one ant is easily squashed, but a thousand could prove too much," these things never entered his mind, and it is this lack of forethought, what most bad guys seem to be chronically suffering from, that ultimately lead to his defeat.

fatally cocky

Sorry, I'm started laughing my ass off when I read that! :tflaugh :tflaugh :tflaugh

You're right about Unicron, having too much pride, funny how that is the downfall of many baddies! I think Unicron's mistake was transforming from planet to bot mode, I think he would have made short work of Cybertron (primus :tftongue ) if attacked in his planet mode.

That first planet he ate was really small, though. Not much bigger than his mouth. I don't think Unicron could've possibly eaten Cybertron in one bite, that's why he had to physically dismember it into managable chunks. I mean, I could eat a hamster or something with just my mouth if I wanted to, but a cow or even a sheep or a chicken I'd probably have to kill first.

Unicron said he had considered sparing cybertron and he didn't strike me as the type to bother with lying, so that shoots the Unicron/Primus story in the foot, it always did.

No, you're mixing two different story lines.

In the cartoon Cybertron isn't Primus, Unicron is just a robot (created by Primacon), for some reason the matrix can stop him, and it's just coincedence that Unicron reached Cybertron. For the movie Unicron, Cybertron is nothing special.

In the comics Cybertron is Primus, Unicron is a dark God and he very purposely reaches Cybertron. The comics Unicron would never spare Cybertron.

You have to keep these things seperate. If you adhere to the movie and the cartoon, Unicron is just a big robot who needs energy to feed his huge body (which he gets from eating planets). In the comic it's a dark god intend on reducing the universe to nothing so he can rest in the big void.

I think the only reason why Hot Rod could open the Matrix is because he alone was chosen by it not Ultra Magnus . This is not saying Optimus Prime chose poorly he just chose the Bot second in command which would be the most logical choice in terms of appointing a new leader. Unicron as evil as I believe he is has also proven himself not to know everything. Though he knew Galvatron could not use the Matrix against him, he didn't know however that Hot Rod would be eventially chosen by the Matrix. The only thing at this point that is a true threat to Unicron is the Matrix and the wielder of it which at the time would've been Ultra Magnus whom he believed had the power to destroy him and whom he instructed Galvatron to destroy. I think as good a villain as Unicron was and as evil he was he as any other villain will always have flaws that will eventially lead to a destined demise. Hope that's not too off topic.
