I gonna go with evil. Why? Because after he ate a planet, those little claw searched out and CAPTURED(didn't kill) any and all survivors, then tied them to a long assembly rail which ended with them being dropped into a pit of boiling acid.

If they had been killed in the process of being chewed up, or by the hazards within Unicron, that would have been one thing, but dropped into a pit of boiling acid, a pit specially designated for that purpose, is cruel, unusual, and qualifies as evil.

That, and come on. LOOK at him! He's got the horns, the bat-bone wings, the clawed feet. . . He's an evil, evil transforming god who was meant to look as such. Admit the truth!

We have seen the face of evil, and it is Unicron!

Now in the comic i fell he IS evil, a evil being intent on destroying everything, particularly Primus and his Children.

Marvel comic version was the best. Primus and Unicron were pretty much yin and yang, exact opposites of almost equal power.

i wouldn't say evil.... more like misunderstood

That's it, exactly. :thumb

Everybody who describes Unicron as "the Dark God", is using the way he was described in the comics. In the comics, he was the opposite of Primus. Unicron was a dark God who didn't eat planets because he was hungry, but because he wanted the universe to be a big void. (That the devoured planets also fueled his mechanical body was nothing but a big plus.) He had already destroyed an entire universe.

The cartoon Unicron is just a big robot (created by Primacon) who needs energy to keeps his big body functioning and, like Galactus, can only do this by eating planets. True evil...no, more like bad by necessity.

(Comics rule!)

As long as the corpulent G1 prototype of Unicron NEVER gets put into production I'll be happy. :thumb

That thing IS evil.

Please tell me that was a fake, surely they werent actually going to produce that mockery! They probably were though just look at the G1 Galvatron toy... terrible terrible...

Yeah, I'm of the opinion that he's just hungry. A giant metal planet that burns loads of energy needs a way to replinish itself. Self preservation can be a mighty big motivator.

He's got a permanent wedgie. That's why he's evil. He can't remove it. :P :P :P

:lol

Personally I think the G1 movie Unicron is pretty much like a force of nature. Why would he be evil because he eats planets?

Do we not eat animals?

The Comic Uincron was evil because it was his sole purpose to destroy life.

Ok we sort of know Rampage feed on the Fear he created, and we know his Spark is a clone of SS's. Starscream was exposed to Unicron, and possably his spark (It has been way to long since I say G1 as a kid). It may be SS picked up somethign Unicron, that got passed to Rampage.

Where I am goin with this is: Is it possable that Unicron feeds on fear as well as the resources of the planets he devowers? It would makes sence with how he desposed of the inhabitance.
