Well, it is nice to see one of my pics causing a bit of interesting discussion :tflaugh

And thanks for the comments.

Oh, and I gave Clench an energo axe

A: because he doesn't have a gun and needed some kind of weapon

B: I didn't think a hand looked good.

Neat, first time I heard of these too. So I decided to look 'm up on TFU :)

http://www.tfu.info/1993/Autobot/Pyro/pyro.htm

"Think of the most aweful unspeakable menace you can - and then double it. That's what we're up against."

A colossal hero to the Autobot ranks, his feats of astounding courage are legendary. Thunders defiantly through everything up any sort of terrain. An awesome mixture of speed and firepower. Strong, versatile and solid as a rock.

As a vehicle always comes to the rescue and defends with massive multiple fireing missile launcher. Transforms to huge multi-function mid-stage defense launch pad. Immovable in battle as a monstrous robot.

I love that last line! :D Just look at his toylegs and imagine why this is! :tflaugh

Does anyone have the techspecs for Clench? :)

Just to show that I don't just do character designs....

Inspired by the Praxus Art Contest, and even though I can't enter due to not being registered with them( :tfmad ), I thought I'd do my take on two of the unsung leaders of the As and Ds.

So here's the two most powerful transformers ever to hold the leadership, Pyro and Clench, in reasoned, polite discussion...

Or not.

Obliterated!

My guess would be Clench. :thumb

Actually, it's Pyro. The European Autobt leader, and I think it was G2, was Pyro, and then Clench was the Decepticon leader.

I hope you won't mind too much if I give you a definitve answer?

These two are the 'Obliterators', tech spec wise probably the most powerful G2 transformers (straight 10s). They were supposed to be the G2 leaders, at least in europe.

The puncher is the Decepticon Clench. He was a (mostly) black and green truck.

The victim is the Autobot Pyro. He was a red and yellow fire truck with a blue head.

THIS WAS THE SUM TOTAL OF MY RESEARCH.

Thank you for all comments :thumb

Read my post above, I listed it all out. I love the Obliterators, so I got all the research I could on 'em. ;)

Pyro is AKA Spark (UK and Europe each have differing names). He's indeed a red and yellow truck thing, but not really a firetruck as like Fire Convoy or Hot Spot. He's more like a truck that runs supplies into danger zones, like an emergency transport.

Clench is AKA Colossus (see above). He's a blackish-green sort of guy. With neon green misiles and neon pink arms. Man, the colors...bah.

Like I said, ugly toys, but I like 'em.

My Con Obliterator is Colossus in G2 packaging. 1993 version. Here's his English techs:

"I will not rest until the last Autobot is crushed to nothing and the Decepticons rule."

A vehicle of terrifying power and pure evil. Combines a keen brain with diabolical cruelty. His whole being is dedicated to vengeance. A nightmare opponent, powered by pure hate and throws aside anybody foolish enough to get in his way. As a vehicle attacks from all sides with vast weapon power and does terrible damage with his vicious, rear mountied grabbing claw. Menacing in intermediate mode as a multi-purpose battle station. As a gigantic robot, towers terrifyingly above all.

His altmode is a sort of large wrecker truck. Think Wrecker Hook from RiD, or Machine Wars Hubcap. Both Obiterators though are futuruistic looking. Not as bad as Hot Rod and Kup, but they don't correspond to any modern vehicles.
