Back to Prime and GF. Here's hoping they will not recolor every new mold. I haven't done the research but I *think* Energon has had fewer repaints/remolds than Armada. If true, maybe this is a sign of things to come :thumb

OK, I'll quickly list repaints/remolds done during the initial run of the line (and not Universe, exclusives or repainted in the next line). [i've probably left some out.]

Energon

Strongarm - Energon Strongarm

Signal Flare - Offshoot

Battle Ravage - Command Ravage

Cruelock - Doomlock

Hot Shot - Energon Hot Shot

Inferno - Roadblock

Starscream - Energon Starscream

Ironhide - Energon Ironhide

Mirage - Dreadwing

Cliffjumper - Beachcomber

Shockblast - Sixshot

Jetfire - uhh, forgot the recolors name

Landmine - Landquake

Bulkhead - Quickstrike

Megatron - Galvatron

Omega Supreme - Omega Sentinel

plus, the six combiner limbs which are recolors

22 molds recolored: 10 basics, 3 deluxes, 5 megas, 2 ultras, 1 super and 1 supreme

Armada

Minicon Race Team - Road Assault Team

Minicon Destruction Team - Road Wrecker Team

Minicon Air Defense Team - Air Assault Team

Minicon Land Military Team - Night Attack Team

Minicon Sea Team - (recolored) Sea Team

Minicon Emergency Team - (recolored) Emergency Team

(I'm not going to count the 10,000 Japanese Minicon variants)

Hot Shot - Powerlinx Hot Shot

Cyclonus - Powerlinx Cyclonus

Demolisher - Powerlinx Demolisher

Thrust - Powerlinx Thrust

Bendy Prime - Nemesis Prime

Red alert - Powerlinx Red alert

Starscream - Thundercracker and Skywarp

Jetfire - Powerlinx Jetfire

Megatron - Galvatron

Optimus Prime - Powerlinx Optimus Prime

16 molds recolored: 6 basics, 5 deluxes, 2 megas, 2 ultras and 1 super

So Armada had fewer repaints overall than Energon. However, there were more new molds in Energon that haven't been repainted - unlike Aramda, where nearly every original mold was repainted during the initial run.

Wow, thanks for the leg work. I guess I was wrong.

I wonder where to put Tidalwave, Ultra Magnus, Unicron, the Minicons, the new Cyclonus and Demolishor, and Rapid Run on the list. Would they be an Armada recolor cross-over or Energon repaints?

Does it transform into something cause I see treads on the back of the legs?

What toy line is this from and how expensive are they?

It's Max-Factory's Genesic GaoGaiGar, from King of Braves- Gao Gai Gar (a VERY excellent giant robot anime). The main part transforms into a lion, the legs into tank/mole crossovers, the arms into sharks and the backpack into some kind of wyvern. But it's a limited edition, and last I checked a preorder listed it at $600,-...But it's a BIG bugger though, a bit bigger then MP-OP if I'm correct.

And back on topic. I was first saving up for U-Nemesis, AT Grimlock and SL Galvatron-G, but f**k them! As soon as he comes available at my importshop, he's MINE! :thumb

I couldn't decide how to classify them either, which is why I left them out. Plus there was that wave of BW figures that made it into Armada - so I figured it would more-or-less even out these cross-overs anyway.

Ahh man I really dont have room for this guy.

*sigh*

Guess this means the posters are coming down, and more shelves are going up.

so where can i find one??

Japan or your favorite on-line store.

He won't be released in the US unti this summer, I'm guessing it will probably be a little closer to fall since SW toys will be taking up 90% of the shelf space this summer.

Love it, and must have it. :thumb Going to wait for spring/summer to buy him though. With Energon releasing three major Gestalts I want to buy those first before anything, and since most of em don't look much larger then the Omnicons, I can't see them putting too large a hole in my wallet. I have most of the Enegon series with the exceptions of repaints, Tidle Wave, SlugSlinger, and I'm having a hell of a time finding Wing Saber. Hopefully I'll find it sometime this year, or Energon Prime will continue to look like a mismatched Power Ranger. :roll

I'll wait, but those pics do really make it difficult. This line may end up being one of the best ever. One can hope anyway.
