BTW it should be mentioned that Shaun Berger JUNIOR is not the same person that appeared in "Megatron's Master Plan." That would have been Shaun Berger SENIOR, who would never have made another alliance with the Decepticons after what happened to him in that episode. Most likely this guy in the Binaltech story is his pissed-off son or something.

I initially assumed the same. However, Shawn Berger is never referred to as either "jr." nor "sr." in "Megatron's Master Plan", thus it's not impossible this IS supposed to be the same character. Plus, the bit about him says his "life was totally screwed up by the Transformers". Wouldn't really make sense if it was "only" his son.

After all, the Concurrence is planning to eventually drive ALL Transformers of the planet, thus the Decepticons, from his irrational point of view, would probably make more sense as allies. This is the same mentality that made Demona (from "Gargoyles") go "What have I... What have they done?"

I know he wasn't referred to as "Sr." I was just making the point that this is not the same guy. If you watch that episode, you realize that there's no way Shawn Berger would ever team up with the Decepticons again. I call BS. :tfgrin

We're talking about a G1 cartoon villain here... :roll

Seriously, after "Countdown to Extinction", I would have thought he same abut Arkeville and Starscream...

Berger = tricked by Decepticons into thinking they were good guys

Archeville = evil guy who didn't mind turning innocent people into slaves

And remember, you and I are both fanboys, so let's not play the "it's only a cartoon" card. :tflaugh

Interesting. It's nice to see that the writer is being so scrupulous about maintaining continuity with G1. Although it will be interesting to see how he explains the fact that Sunstreaker, Wheeljack, Hound, and Bluestreak all appear in TF:TM in their original bodies... not to mention Grimlock!

Don't forget Jazz, Ravage, Shockwave, and Windcharger (in his *final* appearance) were all in the movie too. It's kind of silly to think that they all reverted back to their bodies based on older cars. I mean I can understand Grimlock and Shockwave maybe going back to their original forms... I think it would be better to explain this away as just being a different timeline/universe alltogether.

Unless something will change drastically, Windcharger isn't going to be in the BT story. Takara are calling him "Overdrive", as he was designed to be, and unless Ichikawa-san is going to do something about Hasbro calling him "Windcharger", that won't even be an issue.

And since Overdrive was never in the show, they could do whatever they want with him. Maybe he's the one who gets the TFs back into their original bodies. :tflaugh

I wish Dreamwave cared about TFs as much as HI, My oly beef is that GI Joe Extream is a sequil f the GI Joe Relaunch, not the 80's GI Joe that TFs werea part of.

Wow this should be made into the movie and probably will after all they are using real world vehicles in the movie. Hopefully we`ll see a MP Megatron/ Galvatron in the next year or so.
