I unscrewed the gun on Longarm much better I have no clue why Hasbro thought that it was a good idea to do that. Hes now a south paw and it still stays in place in truck mode.

 

I did the same, what a weird design. I did notice, however, that the tow hook/light bar assembly is a little loose in alt mode bec. it's not screwed in anymore, but it's NBD. Maybe that's why it's screwed together. Now how about a shoulder cannon?
