honistly if the SS is anything like the mustang GT its going to be pooie cuz for a 4.3 V8 its power is just plan poor (305 bhp approx) and the viper is not far off. give me a turbo'ed engine anyday

IMO he should be a Z33 fairlady Z/ 350Z or evo8 MR FQ400 (yes 400 bhp form a 2.0 turbo and thats right out the factory i lol at those V8 fools hahahaaa)

**waits for the age old battle of turbo vs big dispalcement to start**

dude im sorry but thats just p1ss poor 5.3 leters to work with and 303HP is all it has.

yes, but look at it this way, in '96 the impala ss was given a floor shifter which alot of modders realized that because it had the same engine as the vette, the tranny could be switched, one of my dream cars right there, anyway my point is this impala ss will more than likely be compatible with the anything from the vette inculding but not sure, the '06 Z06 which would mean even more performance, now if only ford cared about speed like chevy and dodge does.....

That would make sense. The police use Impalas as interceptors around here sometimes. They never really use them tho, they just kind of sit in the parking lot. But they look really fast.

Turbo is nice for speed on the little ricer cars, but I like a big ass engine for that feeling of raw power. Besides, you can still put a turbo on a big engine too, you know.

For a relatively cheap way to go too fast on the interstate, build a suped up Civic. But if you want to BUILD a real muscle car, put $40,000 under the hood of a nice old box from the '60s or '70s... My friend has a '67 GTO that will do 68 MPH in first gear, with three gears left to spare, and that's with a JUNKYARD motor. With a properly rebuilt and modded engine, that car will pas anything on the road. Well, except for a gas station. :tflaugh

Dude you need to wake up realize the fact that factory spec cars are not turbo’ed and pieced together toys. Most manufactures don't use turbo on cars that will be everyday drivers for the sake of reliability. You really make yourself sound very obtuse with your knowledge of cars when you say "303HP is all it has". That is at the wheel horsepower not at the crank. That isn't too bad at all for a glorified family sedan. I don’t mean to sound mean but the Japanese cars that you love so much aren’t so hot, and are pretty much worthless to actual car collectors. The real money are in vintage cars like on the Barrett Jackson auction the other day a 1954 Oldsmobile F-88 GM Concept Car went for $3,240,000 it set a new record at the auction. Not to mention that all the big money makers at the auction where vintage American and European automobiles. You can look at the results yourself athttp://www.barrett-jackson.com/auctionresu...bj05results.asp

Dude(s), you all need to realize that this thread isn't about turbo-ed engines and which car is faster/better. This one is about Alternator Prowl (at least the title claims it to be).

If you all wanna talk cars, go start a thread about it in the nonTF-GD forum...bring your psuedo-flaming posts over there, and leave this thread for toy talk.

Thx! :thumb

That is the point I was getting to splendic anytime someone suggest an american car for a character someone here has to trash talk the car, because its not a turbo tunner car. If someone likes a certain type of car for a Transformers character leave it at that. For example I the new chevy Cobalt would make an excellent new Cliffjumper that doesn't mean I like the Cobalt I just think the car suits him. I don't need someone to trash the car, because I mention the car. Every transformer doesn't need to be a supercar. That is one of the things I thought to be odd about G1 alt modes. I don't know about you guys, but I think ferrari's, lamborgini's, and such were a little to conspicuous. I would like to see more everyday type of cars to give it more the feel of Robots in Disguise.
