Titanitron

A while back, G2 Megatron repaints were all the rage, so I bought one to get rid of its bright green and purpleness. It was a good starter repaint, since it was easy to take apart and made such a dramatic difference in how it looked. :thumb

Since I was taking some other pictures anyway, I took some pictures of it:

Anyway, I was pretty happy with the way it came out. The paint is Model Masters Titanium and Magnesium, with Testor's silver, black, and gold pen highlights. Oh, and metallic black flake for the treads. I missed some spots, although I don't think it's too obvious in these shots. If I were doing it again, I'd probably use a pin or something to make even finer lines on the head.

Nice work. I was thinking about doing something similar with my G2 Hero Megatron figure.

Sup wit dat tiny rifle? Is that what he comes with?

Nice job, I wish I had one so I could do that.

Thanks all! I got this one loose from Wheeljack's Lab on eBay for $20. The sounds still work, but I left them turned off. :thumb

And yes, that's the gun he comes with. I forgot to take pictures of the missiles, but they just have the same gunmetal look. Still fire, too.

That looks really cool, but(hugs G2 Megs) I'll pass for myself.

hmm... your avatar and pics don't load up - big red X...

Looks extremely cool. Really like the metallic look.

I love it. I wont do it to my G2 megs. It was to bloody hard to find. I really do like it. Its great for a first try

Its now time for a short rant.

I REALLY wish hasbro would put that ge tank megs in that color scheme. It would be such a freaking hot selling item, and we would finely get a good g1 megatron nod in toy form. That i say is still so badly needed. If someone tells me that the big mold is trashed, and they cant reissue it, thats fine i know a few years back they did the little g2 tank megs. I'd be happy with a 9 dollar TFU megatron.... ahh well enough with my rant. I know its not going to happen, but a rat can dream cant he?

and the rant is over
