I think Splendics G1 personality review of wheelie is right on the money

 

"You are Wheelie...You are easily the most annoying Transformer in its million year plus history. You talk in rhymes to hide the fact that you actually have never had anything of importance to say. At any moment you could be a Dinobot snack. You would have been a Decpticon, but Megatron would have killed you long ago. Hell, if Prime was around he would have killed you long ago. You are terrible in every way...rock on with your sucky self!"

Wheelie was cool till I heard him talk. I got the toy long before I saw the cartoon with him in it. Not that he looked cool in robot more but I liked the car more alot.

 

However Wheelie suffers from what I like to call the Jar Jar syndrome. If you just saw a still shot of either you might think they were cool. I remember seeing shots of jar jar before episode 1 came out and I thought cool he's going to be the new chewbacca... then I saw him walk and say "moy moy meesa okeeday how wude" and I instantly wished Chewbacca would come and eat him.

 

So wheelie should either stay on mute or be fed to grimlock

Wheelie is not as annoying as the racist Jar Jar Bynx...Actually, Wheelie's cartoon model is freaking cool looking.

Wheelie isn't that bad. I don't hate wheelie; he was one of my favorite autobots when I was a kid. I mean you see him take on the dinobots, granted G1 is before my time, but I had old VHS tapes and they showed some reruns. I would want a figure that captures wheelie's show coolness and his car mode. Wheelie is high on my Non-hate list, but he isn't my favorite, because he had an annoying voice. Anyway He has to be in my Top twenty TF list. Anyway on another note Jazz and Prowl top my Favorite list.

Okay, for real, I only hate Wheelie because it's cool to hate Wheelie, and he's easy to pick on. Sure, as an adult now, I think the rhyming gimmick is highly annoying, even moreso than Omega Supreme's "Two-words-separated-by-a-colon" sentences, but when I was 6, watching the show as it was originally run, I thought he was cool. Again I reiterate: I WAS SIX YEARS OLD. Wheelie was a comic relief charachter aimed at a 4-7 year old audience. Of course all of us adults find him annoying. Why do you think kids like Pikachu so much? Personally, if I hear "Pika, pika" one more time, I'm gonna kill something. But my kid has a Pikachu toy. And Teletubbies. And a Barney doll. I think that's the intention of the cartoon makers... "here's a charachter that will drive you smurfing nuts, and you're gonna buy him for your kids, because they have the power of 'Mommy, please!!!!' and there's NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT!!!! BWUHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!"

Pick on a different TF. One character I've always found a little annoying was Wreck-Gar. He made even less sense than Wheelie. At least Wheelie, while rhyming, knew what he was saying. Wreck-Gar just quoted TV clips and such.

Are you going to tell the other 99% of TF fans that to.
