New Masterpiece

true it does send a message, however it might not send the message you want, it may very well send the message that we don't want anymore mp tf, however i'm pretty sure that this will be like those bad movie sequels where they have to do a 3rd one to try and make up for the horrible 2nd one.

That abomination is a disgrace to the free world, and deserves to be burried deep under the rocky mountains in some undisclosed nuclear dump site.

I say we boycot it. I for one will NOT be spending my hard-earned dough on that POS. Too much GF, BTALT stuff to get anyways. If we support the products we like and bocott the crap, that does send a message.

KT

Maybe they can bury it in the same place they buried all those copies of E.T. for the Atari 2600.

I think it's cool that Takara is releasing another MP. And it takes me a few minutes to get over the fact that since I don't own resources to make my own Binaltechs or Masterpiece editions, I can't really complain about what they're doing currently. So don't rip on Takara unless you can do better.

Just to reiterate, not buying the MP-02 is not supporting the company. Takara has done wonders for us in the past and now in the present. I couldn't imagine any other childhood without these little toys called Transformers.

Support Takara. They need us and we need them. They might not create every little toy we whine for, but hey, it's business and money makes the world go round. You can't manufacture toys without profit right? What's the use of making a mold for a toy and not getting the most out of it.

And now, with the Binaltechs...it took me a while to get over the fact that they used a couple molds a few times with different heads popped in. But I look at it as a choice for those that want to pick out what they want and want variety.

If you are a true fan, pick up the whole line. If you can't afford it, pick up your favorites.

To those complainers/whiners, don't buy it. Just remember that supporting the company means more toys. Whether you like ALL of them is not their concern. But if you buy a few out of the thousands they make, then it's worth it to some degree right? You got what you wanted.

Now, let's just play with our toys and be happy!

P.S. If someone is not doing what you want them to do, you have to do it yourself. If you can't do it yourself, then SHUT UP! j/k

The problem is Takara can do better. It makes no diffence what we can do.

well at least this killed the alt wheeljack discussion

well at least this killed the alt wheeljack discussion

Seeing how they did this, my bet is the Alt/Binal "Wheeljack" is going to be called Rumble....

Oops...brought it up again..... :tftongue

Support Takara. They need us and we need them.

I know I don't. I can live without Transformers. If you put out poor products, they don't sell, you loose money. I refuse to buy shoddy products, as it just encourages the company to produce shoddy products.

I would say I'm a true fan. I want the company to do the very best it can. Doing crap like this, it's not it's best. It's laziness. As such, it doesn't reflect well on the company. Not purchasing shoddy products encourages them to put out products that are worth buying, yet they require a bit more effort than spraying something blue and white.

I shan't buy it. Simplest way of protesting against a decision made by a company - your wallet.

I know I don't. I can live without Transformers.

you do realize the fallacy of that statement right. you are as much of a fan as the rest of us, otherwise you wouldnt belong to the PREMIER TRANSFORMERS BOARD and post.

yeah you wont die without transformers, but you would be bummed if MP2 was the nail in tak's coffin and we had to live with hasbro-only transformers (which would probably vanish too)

its simple folks, if you like it buy it, if not pass... but the next person that speaks about a tak boycott gets an INTERNET wedgie, cause we are all fanboys or we would post here

Negativecreep, I support Takara but I will not support crap like what they are going to release in MP-2 Ultra Magnus. If I do then what huh? Another repaint or another shoddy half hearted job on another TF? Takara is taking the easy way out instead of coming out with an all new MP like Megatron for example. Thats a MP that nearly everyone who likes or dislikes Megs would buy but what does Takara do? Repaint MP Prime and call him Ultra Magnus. Thats an insult not only to the toy that is MP Prime but to true TF fans in general. Takaras thinking "Oh no matter what we make or how crapty it is these TF fans will buy it!" well we should show them differently. I just hope for once Hasbro has the sence not to follow suite and bring it here to the U.S unless it has a price tag of 30 bucks or less and is made of plastic, otherwise like I said before they can cram it.

I wont even comment on this subject anymore. :tdown

you are as much of a fan as the rest of us, otherwise you wouldnt belong to the PREMIER TRANSFORMERS BOARD and post.

Erm... not especially. I like a lot of things, but I don't let my hobbies dominate my life. As such, I could live without Transformers, but I'd rather have them than not. As such, I need Transformers about as much as I need chocolate cake - it's nice, it makes life better, but it's not essential. I'm not saying I dislike Transformers, I don't, I've been collecting and watching since age 2, just they don't dominate my life.

And I don't "boycott". I merely choose not to purchase a product for a series of reasons, chiefly that I either do not want it, or am unable to purchase it. Boycotting involves not purchasingproducts that otherwise would as a form of protest. I'd gladly buy Takara's Binaltechs, or the wonderful Preadaking reissue, and have every intention of doing so. Just not this.
