Dinobot has a Strong code of Honour b/c he was a Predacon.

I dont feel like reading the other post but I have two possible answers.

 

1. When Dinobot died, Since Optimus and the Matrix were on the same planet, Dinobot's spark joined the Matrix right there on Earth 4 Million years ago. Having done that, his knowledge and personality filtered through the Matrix and when the Dinobots were created on Earth the name Dinobot subconsiously came to Optimus. At the same time some of Dinobots rebellious personality transferred to Grimlock.

 

2. When Dinobot died, his spark travelled through space and time(much like Starscreams spark) to it rightful time and joined the Matrix. If this is true then Dinobot gained his name from the subgroup the Dinobots and he is a decendent of Grimlock and the other predatorial Transformers. Which may explain his strong code of honor being a decendent of great Autobots.

I take his screaming because of A) He lost B) The time he had spent with the original Megatron's Spark kinda made him insane.

We never saw "real" Preds other thgan Dinobot, Megatron's origional Crew were CRIMINALS, not civilians or sollders.
